Upfitter Switches, What are you using them for?

I am close to ordering a new truck. I am curious what most people are using the upfitter switches for. I am trying to decide if is worth adding to the new truck.

It doesn’t cost much so just order it for resale value alone. After truck is built it can’t be added. I use mine for aux lights front and rear.

I know it's water under the bridge for you on this install, but for any future lighting mods and especially for other folks who haven't yet done lighting mods, this plug and play pig tail is a must. Literally makes the tie in to the parking/marker light circuit a 5 minute task and it's cheap and will eliminate using an upfitter switch where you don't need to. Great for grill Raptor lights or side badge led lights.

Has anyone hooked up a switch to the reverse lights? So if the truck is off and you want more light behind the truck you can flip the switch and now you don't need to have the truck in reverse to use those lights.

40" BD Arc Driving Combo front bar, 10" BD Amber Fog light front bar, dual BD Amber Squadron Sport chase lights on upfitter switches, 1, 2 and 6. Two more Amber Squadron Sport lights wired to my factory fog light switch.

On my 4runner I have the following wired to a switch panel

• Winch
• Compressor
• Rear flood lights
• Front bumper light bar
• Front facing roof rack light bar
• Camp lights
• Power console for refrigerator and accessories
• Air lockers

I don't plan to build this truck out as completely as my 4runner but I did order the upfitter switches because they are cheaper and easier than an aftermarket solution and now at least I have the option.

I'd like to replace the front fogs with some DD Pros but the odd shape has me wondering if I'll be able to.

I would like to add an AC Inverter to the bed to power AC accessories in my slide in camper (very minimally, like a fan or two). I would like this to work when the truck is not running. I am getting dual batteries. I guess I would also want an isolator? I guess the only reason to use the upfitter switches for this would be to manually isolate the inverter?

Put an air horn on one of my upfitters today. Absolutely no need for it but its loud and fun!

I agree just order them on the truck. You can add them on any F150 so I’m sure you could also add to the superduties after the fact but of course it will cost much more.

Momentary shock/panic/confusion when I read this and my brain thought "airbag" was referring to the factory safety device, not the aftermarket suspension device.
