Pulled mine out to get it ready for some camping!

This is why I use the Weigh Safe Weight Distribution hitch - it moves the ball back about 1' allowing you to open the tailgate. One of the many nice features to their system.

I just ordered a Weigh Safe WD hitch on Friday. Hoping I ordered the right one. I went with the 8” drop, is that the one you have?

I have 6" drop - mine faces in the "up" position - I got 8" first and realized the shaft was 2" longer - they have 8" of actual adjustability - but the shaft is 10" long. So I went back to 6" drop shaft and used that instead, as I did not want it to stick up or down any further than 8". With 6" shaft tailgate still opens with it in up position with plenty of clearnace - with 8" it will be very close to touching, if not hitting - when in Up position.

My ATC toybox has 23" ball height when level - so with OEM set up I was in the first (lowest) position with the shaft facing up.

Weigh safe was happy to swap out my original - but I had to pay shipping back of my 8".

If you change your mind and go back to 6" - call them today - likely not shipped yet and they will switch it out.

We finally had a weekend free and the weather was nearly perfect for camping. Took the camper down to Lake Wood Park on the Guadalupe river near Gonzales, TX. It's a very nice camp ground + the river is just a short walk.

Unfortunately the fish weren't biting but we did get some kayaking in.

The trailer will be here before the Tremor, but I may just have to eat return shipping and do the exchange after I get both the truck and the trailer.

My trailer height at level was 24", with my EQ4 WDH dropped to the lowest position on the shank I would get my ball to 25"ish....I figured that would be fine with my 7995 GVWR trailer, thought the trailer would make the truck squat a little and would be level. NOPE! Not sure if it's the extra spring or what, but my truck doesn't squat at all with the trailer hooked up.

Order a 6" drop 2.5" shank to replace the stock EQ one.

Taking ours out for the first time this weekend..I upgraded to the road armor equalizer and heavy duty shackles with wet bolts so curious how much difference it made.

Love the Idaho weather 3 out of 4 seasons displayed between Friday and Saturday. Friday had a high of about 74º, Saturday a high of about 60º, and Sunday woke up to snow. Ended up getting 3-6 inches depending upon location at somewhat low elevation. Good way to break in the new RV.

Made it to Athens, TX and the Texan RV Park. We’ll be calling it home for the next 7 weeks. First real stop since heading out on the road full time.

There is no good way to mount the camera. I just scewed it into where the jayco one would be and ran the wires down the ladder and underneith. When i get some time im gonna pull it apart and see if i can fish the wires down the inside wall. Other then that its plug in play. I did not get stickers for the backup assist. I did hook up the yaw sensor and when i tried to setup assist it was looking for them. Im gonna re set the trailer up as a fifth wheel and see if i can make it work. I doubt ill ever use it im just curious to see how far down the side of the trailer i can see. Ran out of light so tomm ill play with it

First real test towing, ended up filling the tank at home to try and save time. We didn't leave until about 1pm yesterday and had a shitty 20mph crosswind. Didn't feel
comfortable going over 65-70. Averaged 10.1mpg according to the truck computer. People everywhere... it's been a couple years since I went to Moab and oh my.... ended up staying the night right off 70 and 191 at the first pull off. Woke up to an overnight soaking and 2-3" of peanut butter mud. Decided to drive into town around 10 to run some errands. Found a sweet pay spot on the river by chance so went back to the trailer, locked the hubs and dragged it out.... right after the dude finished grading the road. Kinda felt bad but this place is a shit show. Didn't bother to reconnect sway bars and did 65-70mph into town and it handled great. I think air bags would get rid of a little porpoising but not completely necessary. I wish I could open the tailgate with the trailer connected but it hits the power Jack.

Got to the river spot and waiting on better weather tomorrow

Oh dang!! We must have gotten lucky with our week there. There were people but it wasn’t nuts. I read on the Sand Flats FB page that they were filling up every day the day we got home.

My WD bars are barely engaged but do help with the porpoising and make noise when I turn….. The jack deal drives me nuts too but I try to keep all of the blocks and levelers right where I can reach them with the tailgate propped open with the jack. Hopefully the week gets better. We are trying to head back out there again in May to get one last trip before it gets to summer temps.

The Momentum toy hauler is at the top of my list. How do you like it?

So far am loving it. It has 1300 miles of pavement, and then about 200 miles of washboard and very potholed dirt mountain roads. The only issue I have so far is one window valance for the couch slide fell down while traveling. Everything else is holding up nicely and I don't really feel the trailer behind me. Just ordered the bolt it on chock system so I can haul the dirt bikes around without installing wheel chock mounts in the garage.

If you get the G series, I'd go with the 8k axles so you don't overload an axle. With the 320, you can't really store much in the middle with the 2 slides. This becomes a problem if you are boondocking and loaded up with fresh water. Depending upon how many toys or type of toys you can then be overweight on the trailer axle (while still under cargo payload).

My other complaint is the owners manual, it doesn't cover everything like it should. For instance the fuel pump you have to hold the button for like 10 seconds before it will start pumping fuel but the owners manual shows 2 fuel tanks and a rocker switch and not the style that is installed.
