Accomplished some considerable dissassembly of my little Honda CRF 300L last week, in order to remove the airbox, and that in order to remove the throttle body donkey dick snorkel and replace it with a shorter velocity stack made by 550 Performance.
I did not get a picture, but trust me when I say that this shorter induction tube (velocity stack), an 87 octane "tune" and a Graves stainless full exhaust system has dramatically increased this little engine's performance, now especially in the middle RPM ranges (4000-8000, with a 10,500 redline).

Reassembly was a success, and with no extra fasteners on the table! Amazing.

And the speedo correction before any tire and gearing changes required a 03.8% correction which put a 60 MPH from GPS to 60 on the speedo, so that works too. Holy smokes. Love it when a plan comes together.
In anticipation of a tire change but more importantly a final gearing change (plus 4 teeth on the rear), I wanted to correct my bike's speedometer reading. I gotta have my stuff within 1 MPH or I can't sleep at night.
There are two well known correction devices* out there, either one requires intercepting the output shaft speed sensor's wiring at a factory wiring harness plug that is so damn deep in the bike that if it were any deeper it'd have been easier to get to. The airbox had to come off for that, too, so it was two birds! one stone.
*SpeedoDRD or SpeedoHealer - I am using the first
Having a late second half of my usual breakfast before I go bolt on the new 44T sprocket then deal w/ some new chain.
