Tremor Dogs! Let’s See Um!

Ok Tremor Fam,

I’ve been stressed out for a few days. Our little Kimber dog developed a limp a few months back and long story short she needs double knee surgery to fix luxating patellas. It’s scheduled for tomorrow morning and honestly I’m almost as nervous about it as I was for my wife to get her cancer and lymph nodes removed. I’ve read a lot about the surgery and it’s 95% effective and my pup is only 2 so the anesthesia shouldn’t be too hard on her, but I’m still fretting about my little baby girl. Just asking for anyone to send good happy thoughts and vibes to my little pup while she’s in surgery tomorrow. Thank you! I’m sure she’ll be fine but I’m still worried.

Sorry to hear about her troubles @Sludgemonkey44 . :(

In our house there is a saying we live by: "Dog > Human". 😂

What we get concerned and worried about dogs just shrug off like it's nothing and proceed on with life. She knows you and your wife will be there for her and that's what's important to her. I think she'll come out of it fine but will pray for her regardless!

Hey @Sludgemonkey44, glad to honor your request my friend. It is a source of considerable anxiety and heartache when your little companion is suffering and you can’t end it easily. Trust the professionals to do their jobs, they know their stuff. It’ll all work out I’m sure and things be normal again before you know it. 🤗🙏🙏🙏

Yup. Our boy will be buried by the creek that bisects our property. He loves chasing the frogs and crawfish. He will stick his entire head underwater “looking” for them. No better place for him to run eternally.

That’s too funny. Looks like a great dog. I don’t know why we as humans do this to ourselves. We get animals and they give us so much joy. It their lives are so short lived. I told my wife after our current dog I can’t get another one. It’s hurts too much to say goodbye.

I felt the same way when my Husky passed away. But then this guy found us. That’s when I realized that giving a pup an awesome life is more important than my sadness when it’s time for them to go. They may be only a part of our time on earth, but we are part of their entire life on earth.

13 yrs old! and still a bit of a pup. Cooper.

He's a rescue we brought home when he was 1 yr from a local no-kill shelter. Poodle and ShihTzu, but unlike most mixes of these two, he has longer legs.

He's a little athlete, a great watchdog, and the perfect lap dog for my wife, and all rolled into one. Best small dog in the world!
 
Thank you to everyone for the good wishes for my pup. We just got her home. She’s a bit loopy from the surgery drugs and a bit sore, but she’s through the worst of it and on the road to recovery. You all are the best! Thank you for the support.
