Transfer Flow 58 gallon replacement tanks are finally being sold and installed!!!!

FYI, you can not get a correct DTE with Forscan on 2023 trucks, so be warned.

Aztrem,
That's a curious development. I'm guessing that you've logged into forscan and can't get this to work?

It's be great to have the ability to monitor fuel level, obviously.

What, specifically, happened that you discover this?

It’s on several forums, all the settings for 2022 and before can be changed on the 2023, but then the DTE does all sorts of weird stuff, jumps all over, reads zero, then 999, runs down super fast etc. @ZooDad said they were working on it

Only $3500 installed! Where do I sign up? Oh, and then add a lift kit to maintain ground clearance. /s
You don't need a lift..its still above your pumpkins...I will say in 18" of snow it makes it real easy for your buddies to find you on the mountain...just look for tracks with a belly drag in between them.

Welp I'm at a complete loss on figuring out whats wrong with this tank, replaced both valves and gas cap trying to get rid of the check engine light for P0496 and P0451 codes and they still are popping up. Transferflow tech support hasn't given any support on figuring it out, they just sent the install instructions again.
Well finally got everything squared away. Finally got in touch with the correct person at Transferflow and wow I must say I'm completely blown away with the level of service they provided on getting this fixed. Replaced my entire tank and all of my stock evap system, shipped my old tank back for study. 100% satisfied and got 2 mpgs back. Something was really messed up with the evap system I guess.

If you cannot Forscan DTE on a 23/24 will it eventually read correct DTE as the fuel level gets within the factory tank specs?

I'm getting ready to install the tank this weekend. Did TF also adjust your DTE settings? I'm assuming they did not???

I'm wondering if I should even bother with trying to figure or leave as is until the correct settings are known.

If anyone has heard anything different please post up!

No, its just always wrong from what I have seen and tried. Some people on a 2023 are apparently able to change tank size in the PCM module and be in the ballpark, but my truck(23 tremor lariat 6 seater) doesn't even have that setting in PCM. My tank size/gallons can only be changed in the IPC module. Pretty bummed about it since the 23's have been out for a long time now and nobody has found a way to get the DTE to be accurate yet. You would think trasfer flow would be interested in this and try and help figure it out. They have a big warning in the instructions and/or on their website that you DTE will be wrong, so maybe they just wash their hands of it.

Hmm, any idea's on why you don't have the PCM module showing?

FYI Folks that are considering the TransferFlow 58 gallon tank for their 7.3 super duty, TransferFlow is offering a $200 discount on all tanks they sell on their website. This only goes to Mar. 17

that's great they offer a promotion that none of us can take advantage of because they're now out of stock. Promo code equates to a 7.3% discount, so almost waiving sales tax (but not quite).

Can’t you place the order regardless and take advantage of the discount?

I just built an order for the 58 gallon tank and it allowed me to proceed to the payment process. If you’re serious about getting one just call them. I’m sure they will get you taken care of. They are an awesome company with great customer service.

I’m sure this has been discussed but why spend 2750 before discount on the transfer flow when the SB tank is 1250?

That's interesting... I added to cart and went to pay and got the out of stock error message.

Checking in to see how the install went and what you are seeing on your DTE? My truck was built today and I wanted this to be done when the truck arrived. At least they are showing an expected in stock date of 2024-07-17. Not Ideal, but better than checking the site daily. Thanks!

I hope this is true. Only thing holding me from buying the new tanks is the ability to have my truck read as if it was built for it. I mean could we not just use the 48 gallon tank forumula that the long bed comes with?
