Yes. However, you don't need the skid plate as the aftermarket tank is thicker and stronger than the old tank and skid combined. As such the aftermarket tank provides more protection over stock config.Does the tank prevent reinstallation of the tank skid plate?
The tank is as long as your driveshaft...I got 50 bucks for the OEM skid plate at the scrap yard. FWIW calling what came on the truck a skid plate is a stretch...Does the tank prevent reinstallation of the tank skid plate?
SDHQ did mine. 3rd best upgrade. 1 & 2 being bed cover and spray in bed liner.Thinking about pulling the trigger on this sooner rather than later. I know I got an answer above but always want multiple inputs. Who is the go to installer for this in the Phoenix, Az area?
Awesome, thanks for the input. What was the turn around on the install, and what did they charge if you don't mind my asking.SDHQ did mine. 3rd best upgrade. 1 & 2 being bed cover and spray in bed liner.

In my experience Transfer Flow is good about recommending good installers in your area. Transfer Flow seems to pay attention to which shops are installing many of their tanks and doing a good job.Thinking about pulling the trigger on this sooner rather than later. And I have made sure the pump nozzle is in as far as it can goI got my transfer flow tank installed in December and have had no problems until this past 2 weeks where, as I fill up at the gas pump everything goes fine until the tank fills up to the top. The gas pump clicks off but then a gush of gas flies out the from the tank opening. Has happened on last 3 fill ups at different pumps. Anyone seen this before or any ideas what's wrong?
Is it at the same gas station? If so, maybe its a problem on their end with a clogged venturi pipe in the station's nozzle. If it happens at different stations, then it is odd. I'd ask Transfer Flow.I got my transfer flow tank installed in December and have had no problems until this past 2 weeks where, as I fill up at the gas pump everything goes fine until the tank fills up to the top. I haven't caught it on anything yet and not for lack of trying...A couple of questions:
1. Any experience with Tremors having more issues getting over rocks with the loss of clearance with the lower gas tank? Is it really just one inch?
2. I also ordered the Talon catalytic converter armor kit. Not installed yet. Anyone have that kit and the Transfer Flow tank to confirm that they will play nice with each other?

As a side note, I have been impressed with pre and post purchase sales and technical customer service from transfer flow. I’ve purchased two gasoline replacement tanks from transfer flow. It’s a well run company.
Thanks for the input. I was burned years ago when using a recommended company so I'm just triple checking before moving forward. In my experience Transfer Flow is good about recommending good installers in your area. SDHQ is the go to shop in Arizona in my opinion. Very knowledgeable, they all drive huge rigs all kitted out. They did my Carli setup, tank, and other stuff. Have more for them to do as well. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do it how I would do it (if I knew how)SDHQ did mine. 3rd best upgrade. 1 & 2 being bed cover and spray in bed liner.
