Things that annoy you about your Tremor, but are how Ford intended it to be....

How is it my 18 F150 XLT had auto-dimming rearview mirror? But my 20 Lariat Sport Unlimited doesn't?

mine dims .... 20 Lariat Sport Ultimate

I have no bird squeaking sounds or anything else on shut-down, but if I have the truck idling for a long time, like while jumping a dead "deer lease jeep", it starts making a jet turbine sounds at idle. Don't know what that is either, but it doesn't bug me yet.

Regarding the jet turbine sounds at idle... I think that's related to the diesel power management for burning off soot when idling. This page talks about an option for "Operator Commanded Regeneration" which allows you to delay this event that occurs when idling if you are parked over combustible materials. My guess is that in your case (and in most cases) the truck is just deciding when it's time to regen (which is necessary when idling). However, this is a total guess...

Do you mean the side view mirrors? Noticed my Lariat value side view mirrors are not auto dim but rear view is.

1250 miles on mine, here is my list, most have been mentioned:

1. Rear sliding window switch location
- Why in the world would you have the sunroof switches, then the upfitter and then the sliding rear glass? Makes no sense in that order

2. Location of cell phone charger
- Too much work getting it in and out of there

3. Inverter lacks capability
- If you can't run any tools or battery chargers (as said above, haven't tested myself) then what is the point? Wouldn't power a small air compressor Friday when trying to air up the tires on the disc. Ended up costing me several hours having to remove the tires and take them into town.

Hmmm. mine looks like a basic rearview mirror. And wasn't dimming the other night when i was driving.

No. i mean rear. I can't remember if my side were. Its been a couple of weeks since i drove it.

Lariat Value package. I can't stand the magnified passenger mirror (large top mirror). Night time just magnifies the headlightz and I can't tell how far the the vehicles are behind me.

Oh and the fact they didn’t black out the exhaust on the sport package!
yup do it yourself.. simple..I choose Matte myself. 20200918_115311_resized.webp

i sprayed mine with exhaust paint on day one

Or the chrome tailgate handle trim thing!

I hate the Tiny Mirrors. My 09 had nice big mirrors and the convex mirrors below them were smaller and more usable. The Tremor Mirrors are way too small and the convex below is too big. The control switches are cumbersome at best. I like the old style joystick that could be rotated to choose which side without moving your hand from the switch. The new control just isnt handy unless you Look at it to make adjustments. The old style was heads up over the new style. My 2 cents.

I believe it was the '04 6.O Ford had the "Whistler" sound like some of the military M35 turbo'd deuces had; video.. it is just a big truck sound LOL

Over time, this has become my opinion as well. Not terrible, but definitely not as good as previous mirrors. I am a bit agnostic about the controls, but the size and proportions of the mirrors is not great.

Did you go the spray can plasti dip route? It’s definitely on my short list of mods.
Yup... plasti dip works great on anything that wont catch wind or bugs, or touched too often, i did all my door handles, and my front ones tend to start peeling at the top from constant touch. soon planning to have them prof painted.
