I routinely get out of the truck while it is running (working fences, deer feeders, running into the store - police mode is on, etc...) and the open door chime is about to drive me nuts. Next on the FORScan list to fix.

I also find the adaptive cruise both really helpful, but annoying in a way too. It is great at keeping me at my safe / set distance from the car in front of me, but I find if I am driving and talking, I can end up well below my cruise control speed due to a slower car in front of me that the adaptive cruise so smoothly adjusted my speed to match and I didn't realize I was 10mph below how fast I wanted to go. Keeps me safe well enough, but I think some kind of more noticeable notification would be nice too - except not a darn chime again. Maybe vibrate the wheel or something?

One thing that annoys me is the weird bird-like squawking sounds the truck makes when you shut it off. Not sure what that is from or even if it's normal. Been meaning to ask about it.

I have no bird squeaking sounds or anything else on shut-down, but if I have the truck idling for a long time, like while jumping a dead "deer lease jeep", it starts making a jet turbine sounds at idle. Don't know what that is either, but it doesn't bug me yet.

I’ll have to record it the next time I shut off the truck. It’s an odd noise. Was planning on taking it in for a look see on my next day off

The fact that I can't keep the tires from spinning on wet roads?

I thought I liked the idea of the adaptive cruise control when it came on my wifes Denali. I ended up making the
same complaint as you. I would look up and from a 75 cruise be down to 60 and not really realize it (it does it so
smooth and over a large window, even when you set the window on the shortest setting). I quickly made
my mind up about it and honestly don't like it at all. I usually do a good job at changing lanes ahead of time and
don't feel that it is "safer" for the way I drive but more of an annoyance. Again, just me personally.

  • Double honk when leaving running truck is terrible... I really need to be less scared about the forscan thing and give it a try.
  • I wish the sensor in the door handle that unlocks the door when your hand passes between the truck and the handle was faster.... its actually pretty good but I find that I try and pull the handle faster than it unlocks sometimes... then you have to wait a sec for it to "reset" to try it again.
  • My DTE gauge sometimes has a mind of its own, drive 10 miles and my range will drop 40???
  • Awkwardness of wireless charging pad, although I have "gotten used to it" and have adapted myself accordingly.
  • Stereo volume doesn't "auto" down after a re-start. (somtimes I listen a little loud after a while and when you first get back in it can me a little loud) (the old 14' Silverado would cut the volume automatically for you upon startup)
I know there is prolly some more and will update accordingly. I actually think I know what White Ryno is talking about with his birds. It does have a noise as the engine stops rather abruptly. Has anyone noticed the "humming" noise when the vehicle is off? Get down by your front bumper and see if anyone else's has this as well, its odd.

Even with the Duratracs? Or did you change them yet? My duratracs grip a wet road fairly well.

For all that get the double honk, do you have the push button start? I let mine idle and lock the door when I get out, but it doesn’t honk.

I have heard that. I have intended to check it out without the key fob in my pocket to see if it is some relay related to the proximity sensors.

Yes, with the push button. The "key in the ignition" doesn't have the 2's honk if you walk away while its running.

Can anyone explain what Forscan is and what It does? thanks

It is a way to modify/re-code some of the trucks functions. Like being able to turn the double honk off, or being able to have the fog lights left on when using High beams.

I forgot about Warpath's Forscan explanation. He did a nice job detailing it out. Post #9 i think it was

Can the adaptive cruise control be turned off?

Fog lights on with high beams would be awesome. Especially with auto dimming

Here is a good link to a FORScan spreadsheet with all of the options/mods available. I used FORScan on my 17' F-250 and had great results. Hope this helps.
Keep in mind that the 2020 mods are still being developed but it will atleast give you an idea of what changes are out there.

I believe this was mentioned a few days ago and that it was possible to run both atvthe same time. May have been through ForScan.

My 2016 f150 emergency brake released by pushing on it. The 2020 Tremor has a release lever. I much preferred to release it by pushing

It's these little things! Overall the trucks are great, but there are some things that make you wonder.
