Hopefully someone can give me some ideas….
I put everything together and it all seemed good up front. After I did the programming through forscan, i got just the seat back multicontour; no seat bottom function. Also, when you adjust anything on the driver side seat, the screen says driver seat but shows it as the passenger seat.
After a day or two when I went to drive the truck again, the running boards were in the out position. I havent been able to get them to do anything since then.
So first off, are you using the 2023+ parts or the 2022< parts talked about in this thread? To be clear, the 23+ parts are 100% different and not interchangeable. What wiring harnesses are you using, the F150 ones or the super duty? Are your lumber bladders (which the MCS modules are a part of) new or used?
I have the same problem with the lower cushion not working, just on the driver's seat. My passenger seat is 100% functional. There's a great thread on the
F150gen14 site; there's a guy over there with the same problem as well. He has some other control issues tho (I think he has a bad switch). The f150 and SD are not the same, but very close with a few documented differences. My attempts so far to sort it out: I have swapped the lower bladder between seats with no change. I have replaced the upper lumbar bladder (and module) with no change. The lower bladder module only has three wires at the connector; I've verified power and ground and traced the third data wire back up to the upper seat module. Updated all modules via FDRS (although, while FDRS can see the SCMG/SCMH modules and the SCMH showed an update available, couldn't get it to update). Cannot figure it out. The only thing about my setup is that my lower LH harness is the F150 version (SD backordered), but cannot find any differences in pinouts that would affect it. I have the SD one on order, so when it comes in (supposedly this month), I'll try swapping and see. If I had access to a truck that came with MCS seats from the factory, I would love to try and swap the seat in and see if it works, just to know if it's the truck or the seat.
My thoughts on the driver vs passenger weirdness you are experiencing: The lumber bladders (and therefore seat control modules) look the same but are NOT interchangeable left/right because of the modules. I wonder if you have a mismatch somewhere; two LH sides, or swapped, something like that which is causing the confusion.
As far as your PRB (power running board) problems: For whatever reason, the PRBs are wired/controlled through the seats (and modules). As a result, possibly related to the control problems you are having. Maybe wiring or modules are wrong somewhere (for a non-PRB truck?). Or if you have a mismatch like I said causing the seat control issues that could be affecting the PRBs. My bet would be it's related.
