Rough Country Hidden Winch Mount

Brilliant! Pics would be helpful!

Only part I don't understand still...the interrupter kit. Isn't that just an old school Ford starter solenoid with a cheap toggle switch? Ford Starter Solenoid

Why not use an battery disconnect switch? Battery Switch
The interrupter is a solenoid rated for continuous use and high current. it allows you to control power to the winch with a remote switch, I’m using an Upfitter switch instead of the cheap toggle. I could use a battery switch like you showed but don’t want to have to open the hood to use the winch.

I'm going to be doing this installation this coming Saturday, I will be taking lots of pictures, I'll be using rough country's new 13k Torque wireless winch... i just received it today and I tested it out with a spare battery I have in my garage, that thing is a beast of a winch super quiet you can barely hear it and fits super good in the bracket probably better than what the 12k pro wired winch they recommend do, i will be rerouting the solenoid box maybe somewhere in the engine bay or maybe behind the grill so I can have easy access to the control connector in case one day the wireless remote decides not to work...

I received this kit today and was curious if anyone has installed the remote extension wire in a more hidden spot than in the front bumper passenger trim. I'd much rather have it hidden somewhere, maybe in the grill or elsewhere.
Honestly I was the same way. I don’t really like drilling holes in my truck. I just left the wire loose in the drivers side gap next to the fairlead. Zap strapped the extension out of the relay box and there should be no way for it to fall out from underneath the way I have all my other wires run.

I wonder why they don't let you pick that winch when ordering the hidden mount?

I really like this, after factory ordering my Superduty, I was kicking myself for not adding the factory winch. Now with hearing a number of issues, I’m happy I didn’t. One thing about this rough country mount, it doesn’t say the weight rating on it, but in the options for buying it’s paired with a 12000 lb winch so I would expect it should be rated for that. My other question is it specifically says it’s for 250, I have a 350 and on the website it said it wouldn’t fit, so not sure what that’s about.

If anyone can figure out what warn winch or other brand which would fit please post about it.
an F250 is the same Truck bolt for bolt as an F350 if its a TREMOR

I don't know why either, Rough Country is loosing some money by not doing that, majority of us is looking for a wireless option like the factory set up, it works perfectly fine, the only thing I had to do was extend the wires from the solenoid box to the Winch and the 12v power lead, also I used the provided bracket to relocate the solenoid box and I put it exactly where is supposed to go, it was a tight fit but it sure works, took me and my buddy about 3 hours start to finish, most of the time was extending the wires and routing them to hide them and make everything looks factory... if anybody wants to do this mod and is close to Redlands CA and want to take the drive to my house I'm more than happy to help you guys! 🍻

Here are some more pictures, I'll take better pictures tomorrow or just ask me if you guys need to see pictures of something else I did
Oh another thing, I used the Badlands APEX winch hook from Harbor Freight because the one that comes with winch is a Joke! Also I will be replacing the fairlead hawse for the Agency 6 Red 1.5" thick one, again the fairlead hawse looks wimpy as hell I'm pretty sure Rough Country can do better and give us something better, if Harbor Freight does with their Apex winch I'm pretty sure they could too!. Shame on them for that..

It fits the 24 with the 6.7 no issues
How was the clearance with the bottom of the radiator? Up thread folks indicated the possibility of needing to remove ~1/4" of the RC bracket (7.3 fit fine; 6.7 the lower lip was too low). Did you have to relocate the ACC?

Can you comment on extending the wires? Did you have to make up your own with a crimper? I snooped around but didn't see a pre-made kit from RC like Warn offers.

Ordered this mount yesterday and trying to decide between this winch and a VR Evo 12 for when my '25 shows up.

Thanks.

I extended my own wires i bought a couple of #4 awg straight lugs and, and you'll also need a set of 90° #4 awg lug, and 1 set of butt connectors also #4 awg... the heck with it! I'll post links to the all the stuff I used from Amazon...

Here are the links to all the Amazon stuff you'll need for the install, is pretty simple in my opinion...
https://a.co/d/7kXgaW2 (butt connectors).
https://a.co/d/7qTyQGT (straight #4 awg 5/16" lugs)
https://a.co/d/6MAp7Sq (90° bent #4 awg 5/16" lug)
https://a.co/d/6Oe70Z5 (#4 awg high current wire 10ft black+ 10ft red set)
I also used this wire protective wrap from the Harbor Freight
https://www.harborfreight.com/1-2-half-inch-x-7-ft-protective-wire-wrap-66986.html

The crimping tool i have my own but you can find a cheap one on either Amazon or Temu here are links to some tools
https://share.temu.com/FTdnddX4uSC (hydraulic type)
https://share.temu.com/G1nUghBHESC (lever type)
https://a.co/d/cIMAY3H (lever type)
https://a.co/d/hW4iNA5 ( hydraulic type) I own this last one and I love it, is pretty good for the money. Shinking tube and a heat gun will be your best friends for this project to make it look as factory as possible. Let me know if you got any more questions. 🍻
