[resolved] Turbo Failure - Ford not covering

Sorry guys, had other things going and forgot to post the latest! Update is great news. It is being fixed by my dealer and they can’t find any faults that would void any warranty coverage for this debacle. I don’t have all of the specifics but will post when I do. Turbo being replaced per what I was told today. Hope to get it back next week and I’m pretty excited about that. Have a good weekend.

What an entire complete waste of time “nothing burger” “The Sky is falling“ “hair on fire“ post, this whole post should be deleted as all it did was create a lot of needless concern among new Tremor owners/members here on the forum.????? ya just can‘t make this stuff up.

Thanks for finally remembering and taking the time out of your busy schedule to post that Ford is fixing your issue...wow. ?

Whoa. I thought this was a place to share experiences and I was doing just that. Life happens yes and people have other things going on. I also had a day of no communication from the dealer on Thursday so not much to update on until yesterday. I have never tried to talk people out of buying this truck. I can’t wait to get mine back and fully intent to continue driving it and enjoying it. Best truck I’ve ever had minus this dealer experience. Can’t let one bad experience bring everyone down but I certainly don’t regret sharing it on a forum designed just for that - even if the story didn’t have a dramatic ending. Thanks for everyones (mostly) supporting comments and advice.

The first dealer did not want to fix for whatever reason. The way they made you wait 3 days or so for a final decision was tragic. The way they lied saying ford won’t cover it is awful.
What Patriot was saying was that your dealer was putting forth info about Ford that was damn lie which made everyone buying their $80k truck nervous. Hell they could have cost Ford some customers by their actions. Will this dealer be held libel?
Edit: OP 's dealer lied when it stated that Ford would not fix his truck under warranty.

Fair enough. Wasn't the intent from my side at all; I was just sharing a really bad experience. Again, thanks to everyone for their help and encouragement.

Hopefully the motor didn't ingest anything, it wl tear the cylinders, heads and pistons up

If it is like the prior 6.7Ls turbo failures usually limited to the exhaust side. At work we have a few 550s that have been through turbos and engines are still ruining in strong in to the 200K mile range after putting in new turbo.

Glad to hear It is getting covered under warranty.

Damn dude you have to chill out, people have lives outside posting on forums. This one persons experience of thousands of trucks with no issues.

kind of expected it to work out this way....couldn't imagine Ford really denying warranty claim on something that's obviously a warranty issue. Glad your truck is getting fixed, OP.

That first dealer sounds like a real piece of shit. You should name them so everyone here can avoid giving them any business.

Wow!!! That’s awesome. Glad it turned out well for you!

Final update: Today I FINALLY received the truck back after 3 weeks! It is as good as new and no questions asked, no pain, no drama and completely fixed by the dealer I purchased it from along with an apology. What a difference and I am still shocked by the treatment I received from the dealer I took it to first. I do plan to document everything and send to Ford but right now I just want to enjoy having the truck back. I truly appreciate everyones support and advice. Thanks!!
