Plastic junk roof trim broken!

Car wash just took out my drive side channel. Broke in half, half way down the top. Just over 1000 miles on the truck. . Waiting on car wash to let me know their next step to fix it.
Good news is, still attached to rear window, did not break off at screw/rivet …..though flopped around until I used some duct tape strips to hold it all together again. I’m hoping that means rear window does not need to be pulled.View attachment 271556View attachment 271557

Sorry my dude. the fix requires the window to be removed.

Automated car washes don't play well with our trucks.

Hand wash only.

Ya, I was afraid of that. Last year my R suffered the same issue only the whole back assembly broke off. And the back window had to come out. Was just hoping this time I would get lucky….
Up here in northern MN, we have 5+ months of no hand washing our trucks and with all the nasty salt, washing almost daily is critical. So car wash is a must and a risk.

Too bad - you seem to have got one of the best held rear rivets attachments ever! Like surviving a mass casualty event to then die choking on a celebratory steak. Hope they take care of you properly
