Pickup Box Bed Side Storage (19H)

I’d be curious to see if it would fit 2017-2022 trucks.

My dealership confirmed that they fit back to 2017.

I first saw them in a video from SEMA.
You can see them around 19:10
Awesome. Just need to see if someone can fit a chainsaw in one of them now.

I wonder if these will fit the Raptor bed.
Someone able to measure the bed for me? Mounting plate to mounting plate and where the centerline lands on the wheel arch?

Does anyone out there have any experience with the Bed Side Storage boxes on the Ford Accessories website? I’m not talking about the small (sometimes swing out) boxes behind the wheel well but the larger Bed side box that mints over the wheel well. Questions I have are : Watertight? When installed can you still get a 4 ft wide sheet of plywood in the bed? Durability? Who makes them for Ford? Do they cover the inverter power port?
To answer your question about the plywood, I was also curious about this. I did some digging and found this photo- looks like plywood still fits with the boxes installed.

Can someone check if a cordless chainsaw fits in the box? Such as a Milwaukee M18 fuel one.

I am still waiting on mine to come in. Unless someone beats me to it I will try it if they ever come in. The first place I ordered from canceled the order saying they were to big to ship. The second place has them on back order. I may just have to order them from Ford Accessories directly. I guess that’s what I get for trying to save $600.

Bump

Still don’t have mine I may have to cancel and reorder somewhere else for the third time…. Here is a video showing the box though, not sure a chain saw would fit.

Yeah, it's hard to tell based on the angle/lens used in the video. May just barely clear.

Since the opening is pretty long and it’s just plastic, I think the chainsaw may be able to be forced in and also removed the same way. Just need to know if the interior space would accommodate it though.

Noticed on the Ford accessories product page it says it comes with both boxes. At first I was thinking would have to order two, one for passenger and one for driver side lol. I know they updated the product photos to show both sides at least now.

@HelmPilot Did you get yours installed yet?

Has anyone installed these with a bed cover? Doesn't look like much room

I got mine in about 3 weeks after ordering from Ford Accessories. I’m very happy with them and they look great! I will admit the amount of storage is not great and the box opening is pretty narrow at 6 1/8 inches across (door lip to back) and slightly less than 3 cubic feet of space in total. But I got all of my emergency tow and winch equipment and hitch accessories into one box. They are well constructed and heavier than I expected.

So I just got mine in and the site didn’t use to say it comes with both so I order two… so now I have two sets. If anyone is in Dayton Ohio area I got a set going up for sale lol

Thank you! You're the hero in this thread. So it probably would fit if the wrap around handle wasn't on.

Lol thanks! Without the wrap around handle I think so. Here are some measurements of the opening.

Unfortunately I gotta remove these from my possible wants list. My Pelican case still has more total Ft³ of storage and can be taken out pretty quickly.

On another idea, It would be slick to utilize the dead space in between the bed skins for hidden auxiliary 'saddle' fuel tanks. Darnit, something else I have to play with now 😂
