Mud flaps - OEM or otherwise

Has anyone tried the Red Hound mud flaps? $38 on Amazon -

Not sure off the top of my head... just enter your vehicle on weathertech website. 2020 F-250 with fender flares.

Looks like these are the correct ones for the Tremors. I just ordered a set.

Cool thanks!
Pics of both front and rear. They mount using a combo of factory fender flare bolts as well as metal clips that come with the mud guards. In the rear there is also a support arm that mounts to the rear of the fender.

Thanks for the photos. I take it your happy with the level of protection these guards provide? They look good!

Yup. They work great. drove the truck a few weeks without them and there is a noticeable difference in cleanliness on the side of the truck.

Let us know how the install goes! I wonder which mud flaps are longer weather tech or Ford OEMs, I need the longer flaps in the rear pulling a travel trailer.

The install is super easy, slap on the scratch guard stickers, remove 2 factory screws, install flap using same screws and one cam on mudflap.

yep, I am interested if rear flaps hang down further than the OEMs...yes install is a breeze.

I used Weather Tech fronts and rear (factory flares -Yes / dually - No). The only change I made is the fronts are supposed to reuse two each OEM fasteners but they seemed too short and the bearing surface of OEM washer was tiny so I replaced those with slightly longer (1”) stainless screws and larger washers - both spray painted black before install.

I’ve always wanted the Rek Gen flaps. Look nice to me instead of standard molded flaps.

Those look decent, but I gotta have no drill. ?? S/S fasteners into aluminum = galvanic corrosion or dissimilar metal corrosion.

Im torn as well to what I want. I know I want some that have some flex. I contacted bulletproof bumpers for price and pics. They're out of Canada. So I know they will bold up to snow.

I agree 100% Patriot - this is true. Mixing metals requires knowledge and process skill to create isolation of dissimilar metals. Using surface coating, sealing to mitigate moisture ingression, and reduced direct contact areas can manage The issue. But like you said, the less precautionary action taken the more damage WILL occur.

In example the two OEM screw/washers Weather Tech reuses on front mud flaps are steel going into steel tinnerman clip but Ford creates isolation in all the above mentioned ways. Knowing how and why is vital to maintaining the integrity of the OEM Build. In aviation the standard for all repairs requires “equal to or better than the manufacturers production standard“. (Edited for lazy typing)

Weather Techs on mine. 15 minutes to install all 4
no drill and corrosion resistant hardware included where needed.

I think they are a bit smaller than the factory ones.
I had those on our 17 dually, easy peasy and fit right
