How to get Ford's Private Cash Offer (PCO OFFER)

So what's the best PCO that Ford offers? I think the highest I've seen anyone claim is $2500, is that right?

Also, the one they sent me the other day is in my wife's name, whereas my x-plan is in my name - anyone think that will cause issues?

Not sure, but would think to use the one in your wife's name, she would need to be on the lien or title to get the rebate. Could be wrong.

As of late $2500 is pretty good but have received $3000 just after purchase to rub it in.

No problem with that - it can be her truck if she wants, lol. Just so long as they don't make me pick one offer or the other.

The terms of the PCO say non transferable outside of household, meaning they are transferable within your household. Which is good in your case, because having your wife purchase the truck would most likely cause issues with Xplan eligibility.

I am NOT totally knowledgeable about every offer that Ford sends but, the $2000 one we received on 1/2/24 was in my name alone, I was told by the Ford Marketing lady that it is for any family member in your household (at the same address). I asked her about my daughter who goes under her married name and she said to check with the dealer for sure, but she thought if she lived at our address it would be OK. My daughter and I decided to just put the new Expedition into both our names so that Ford would not kick the offer back and we would loose out. Every vehicle my wife and I have ever owned, has both our names on the title with "and/or" between the names. The reason for this "and/or" is so that either of us could sell or transfer this vehicle should one of us die or become incapacitated. I learned my lesson on this when my dad passed away when both my mom and dad were on title to their car and my mom couldn't transfer it into her name alone without my dad's signature. He had already checked out though, so the DMV guy told us to go home and just have me sign my dad's name then take it into another DMV office and transfer it to my mom's name alone. We did that and it worked OK, but it didn't feel right doing that, at the time. It seems like all the details and technicalities of these Ford Offers are referred to the dealers direction and advise by Ford Marketing, for some reason. I think it's in your best interest to cover your own bases and do what's best for your own deal. If something back-fires on these Ford Offers, there is no-one to appeal this too. You just loose out.

I had no offers, 😖

Are the PCO’s no longer transferable (outside of household)?

They 100% were in the past. Back about three years ago a stranger on here gave me his that he wasn’t going to use. It was either $2000 or $2500 but I used it on my purchase when my truck came in. It was super common back then on the forum for folks to gift over PCO’s they weren’t using to other posters who were in the process of buying a truck.

If a person got the popup for the PCO on a Ford website, they can input another member's contact information to obtain it. That's exactly how I was able to get my PCO. However, once you receive a PCO, it's tied to your name/address and can not be transferred.

That’s exactly how I was able to get the one I used on my truck. Was able to pass the favor on for a few others when I stumbled across similar popup. Unfortunately haven’t stumbled across one of those popups in a long time. Hopefully as things calm down the popups will resume again for those on the hunt for one.

Just saying, if you get one you cant use and adding your name... my name is Deven Hallen... Ill even mail some BBQ your way LOL

Yes, I would love to help you and/or USP45 out if I should receive any pop-ups that can be filled in. As I mentioned, I only received the $2000 Exclusive Cash Offer in January 2024 for the very first time in over 50 years of buying new Fords. If that's any sign of what else may come my way, I am NOT holding my breath, that's for sure. Until I came to your Forum here, I never even heard of a Pop-Up offer from Ford before. If I may have received one in the past, I may have deleted it NOT knowing it was real nor important to me or anyone else. Now that I know about this, I will pay closer attention and will be glad to help any of you Tremor guys, that I can. (however, I do love BBQ so maybe Devenhallen has an edge here!) Just kidding! I've been chasing and getting PCO's for over 5 years now and in that time none (except pop up) have been transferable outside of household. Only the pop up, fillable variety could be assigned to anyone.

We need a "Pop-Up PCO Available" thread stickied. Make a list of names and if someone gets one they can refer to a name of the list and assign it, kind of a pay it forward deal. Maybe with stipulations like truck has been shipped or something so they do not go to waste. What exactly has to be filled out when one pops up? Like what information?
