4 1/2 years later I've finally decided to add some lights.

my ocd was in the way. wiring, where it needed to go, how it needed connected, where i wanted the lights, how i wanted them where i wanted them.

anyway
I've gotten my head around what I want to do & how.

next problem is headaches from 5yr old truck & 128k miles all over everywhere & back.

so pulled my auxiliary (up-fitter) swithches fuse box to get it setup to connect the lights last night.

here's what i found

so i decided to replace the whole thing, since the wear was starting to rub wiring

of course the new one has been augmented & updated 4 times now

the only real difference seemed to be the power cable.

so i cannibalized the old one. replaced it on the new fuse box

been working all day on extending the power lines out of the up-fitter fuse box.

one awesome thing about replacing the old one was now having all the wires the right colors to extend the wires on the new one with.

finally fell together pretty well
should get the lights wrapped up in a few more days

Just 5 and 6. Move the 5 amp fuse forward and voila!

Pull the fuse, slide it forward then replace fuse. You'll be good to go!

pulled the fuse. had to get a small flathead screwdriver in the far left side of the black sliding piece. it didn't want to slide. a little click and it slid. be gentle!!!!

but then the fuse didn't want to go back in. always something.

make sure the black slide is all the way to the right. the same direction as the pointed side of the piece that slides.

i got it all the way over, the fuse was tight but it finally slipped in & bottomed out.

it is only 5 & 6 always hot
1 thru 4 still need the accessories on
