@Godzilla/Tremornator travel & antics

What does a comprehension mod even mean? 🤔🤓😳
i was told i don't & probably can't understand it? so your guess is probably better than mine????

it might be personal🤷🏻‍♂️

might be some pilot $hit?
is it any computer $hit, you've ever heard of?

I'm at a loss?
🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

and that's what i was told
😂🤣🤣😂🤣😂🤣

I'm not sure
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Maybe the source of the recommendation needs a Communication mod so we can better understand the context of the Comprehension mod.

You my friend are a true gem and I wouldn't change a single thing. No mods required in my book, to the one and only Nomad Adventurer that is @Godzilla/Tremornator !

prep & 1st coat on and drying

small print they recommend 2 or 3 coats for easy peel off

at least its not 10 like plastic dip

it also seems a little more robust than plastic dip

even the 1st coat seems to be sufficient pinstripe prevention

i just don't want the power sprayer hassle again

2 more coats

about an hour to roll it on & they recommend an hour dry time between coats

got on 2 good coats. i think???
used 2 liters, half is left.

it's too cold the next 2 days to paint. another 2 days of winter then warms up again.

I'll see how this does over this weekend trip to big bend. add more if it doesn't peel right. order more if i like it, for the denver to utah trek in September. we'll see????

i think i do like it more than the plastic dip stuff. the truck color shows through this stuff. the tremor stickers too. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣 seems tougher also???? big bend ranch state park will be a good test.

may put 2 more coats on and never take it off 🤷🏻‍♂️

Im about to order some for the Arkansas trip. Do you mind advising on the following:

1) How long did it take to arrive once you purchased?
2) what all on your truck did you cover with just two liters?
3) How many coats did you apply?

Thank you much! Please keep us posted on your thoughts.

it got here quick
4 days i think
2 liters
2 coats
bed sides
doors
front fenders (sides)

i did not do
tailgate
roof
hood
grill
mirrors
bumpers

narrowtrax
2 coats on the sides
not coated: roof, hood, grill, tailgate, bumpers
took the 2ltr bottle for the 2 coats

if somebody had access to spray a good consistent coating it would be a pretty badass look

little rough with rolling it on

seems its a bit tougher than the plastic dip

looks good. putting my order in sometime in the next few days.

Thanks for sharing this information.
I tried reaching out to them about a discount/free product for the Arkansas trip but havent heard back. I was hoping a few 3/4 ton trucks driving through AR coming out unscathed would be a pretty daggum good advertisement.
oh well...

anybody else havin as much fun a me today?

sorry if you are!!!!!!!

whenever you have to fix something someone else did, it's not just done wrong!!!!!!! it's done as crappy as possible!!!!!!!

the sewer line appears to be too small too???

hope I'm wrong on that

Yup, looks wrong to me. The tile looks like an afterthought, added post construction of the house. I believe there is supposed to be an "extended" flange with extra thick wax for situations like this. It's hard to tell if the flange is attached to the rim and simply broke off the extension into the pipe?? Been a few years since I had to do this job.

Looks like a lot of work.

You definitely had your fair share of chili! 🤪

I'd be floored if I saw that.

the rusted out broken flange is already torn out in the pics

tile was definitely an after construction update.

also the immediate 90⁰ at the floor is handcuffing me also.

the drain is 3" pipe & the flange i gotta cut off is outside, not inside like it's supposed to be.

there's about a 3" deep void under where the new flange will be.

I'll back fill & pack in new concrete tight to the drain pipe tomorrow. that'll support the new flange like it needs to be.

just a pain in the butt, when if it would have been done right it probably would not have failed. then even if the wax ring did fail it would have been easy peasy, no big deal.

more to come
thx!!!!!

I had a built up floor (previous owner installed solid hardwood floors where the rough in was built for tile) and we used an extender to raise the flange to proper floor height.
