yesterday trailing a little
there were some washouts where the gas tank touched & a couple of 15⁰ climbs in loose dirt that required 4x4 & locker to not spin but i think this is the obstacle that made this trail a 5/10. might actually need to be a 6???
there was a drive around but i cleared this from the road
after it was cleared
same with this one but was able to just move it by hand
some elk
camped pretty much where these elk went through at the base of the small peak

rear tire nearly full clear of the body
what a blast, these trucks are amazing
play on the rocks then go tow 20k plus if you need to
enjoy them to their fullest capacity every chance you get!!!!

about a 15 min drive east out of Flagstaff
about 3hrs total

was headed to so another trail when my tire pressure driver rear went way low.
got out to check & a biga$$ thorn in between 2 sidewall lugs
grrrrrrrr
no plugs this time. just aired up to 80psi & got to a discount tire
3rd tire I've ruined this set.

was staying only a couple of days with an buddy & his family in goodyear.
when you didn't make it to Flagstaff, i made a bad guess you were swamped with work
drove back to Texas today

it was just a big thorn. nearly the size of a pencil though. in the sidewall between two tread lugs.tears up another tire, tells cool story about it. posts zero pictures of it
was mad it ruined the day.

coming back from Phoenix the speed limit was 80mph 85% or so of the way.
was able to make really good time. especially when i had a lead rabbit radar blocker for a little while. he had to be doing 100 maybe more. he kept getting caught behind trucks so i was able to stay with him till i needed to pull off for gas.
down side was gas mileage really fell off!!!!

had a good time seeing all the possibilities for overlanding that is available. enjoyed rubbing elbows with the small group that participated. both trailing & at the event.
had a good time with @OmahaBravo a couple of days prior.
had a couple of good solo days in the area after. before going to see a friend in goodyear.
