Highly recommend chasing peak fall color in the Aspen groves

I drove the Million Dollar Hwy late last October from Grand Junction to Durango. When I wasn’t in white out conditions it was the prettiest color change I’ve seen! It got a little sketchy above 9K feet though this picture doesn’t do it justice. I couldn’t see nearly this well in person.

just finished broken arrow trail

that thing
pretty tight

dug something about 4 or 5 different spots

it shows to be a 5/10

ol boy on the trail teamed up with me. gave me a spot in several places.

headed west last night. camped too close to the road going into the north rim grand canyon. noisy noisy!!!! thought i slept fine but i was tired all day today.

drove west on a little bit of old route 66 today. stopped off/in at grand canyon cavern. if you're there I'd say go, but not a specific special go, just for it.

i was going to west rim skywalk, is how i came across it.

something about a dead coral cave just wasn't as dramatic as carlsbad.

a photographer on the skywalk told me the river in this pic that looks like a big creek was 3 miles away, 500yds across & the little island was 200yds long

found or onX found me an awesome campsite for tonight

all directions around the truck

no traffic

I never felt as small in the world as I did standing on an overlook of the Grand Canyon. One of the best stops during a 2-week motorcycle trip around AZ

there was a big thick husky Slovenian dude wanting to look over the edge of the glass around the edge. the gless was close to 6ft tall. he reached for the top & ever so carefully & reluctantly moved to the edge & barely peeked over.

i lost it, laughed out loud & couldn't stop myself from teasing him.

it was hilarious!!!!!!!

That's funny about the tall gut. Good thing I don't have that problem .

home sick in bed 4 days last week

they still have my truck checking out what they think is a leak in the transmission they just rebuilt?????

got my new tent. ready to mount as soon as i get my truck back.

got a couple of doctor visits mid-october so probably home til big bend at this point

When I do quail eggs, I also have the entire dozen. It's roughly about 2 eggs, or a little over.

i did quail eggs once

wasn't worth the trouble
too many eggs to break to make a meal

kinda like pop-corn shrimp. if they're or already peeled forget it!!

Only quail eggs do I need a dozen.

Local farms do jumbo size and 2 fill this belly up.
