Not bad really, only half a day off from the previous timeline. Kinda odd that they feel the need to work two model years on the same day and not wait until the next day? lolFrom ice-capades on the Super Duty forum this morning:

It says you're in WNC (I assume you're referring to Western NC). What dealer are you going through? I'll be in the market in the not too distant furture.Okay, it’s ordered, the Lariat that is. Dealer just changed XLT order, he said I keep my spot in que. hope it’s not to long...like I said best dealership I have worked with. MSRP $76,690. Out the door minus state tax $72,369, other dealers were up charging past MSRP! I can still stay in the Tremor club!
I thought that too. I imagine the 21 and the 22s being built are basically the same. Not bad really, only half a day off from the previous timeline. Kinda odd that they feel the need to work two model years on the same day and not wait until the next day? lol
Hopefully they don't mix up the large screens ?I thought that too. I imagine the 21 and the 22s being built are basically the same.
Ha! Yea - they will likely be XLs and XLTs without the screen. Though - I am not an expert. ?Hopefully they don't mix up the large screens ?
Quick correction on this: apparently my dealer generated the order sheet preview on May 6, 2021; however, Ford's tracking says my order was confirmed on April 28, 2021. So apparently my dealer created the order immediately, then worked through and confirmed the details with me?Just got off the phone with Ford Marketing! Have a VIN and build date!
Order date: May 6, 2021
Build date: August 9, 2021
Truck is (for context in case it helps with deciphering what's causing delays):
- Lariat (i.e. Sync 4)
- Rapid red 350
- 7.3L gas engine
- With power running boards, floor mats and winch
- Carpet delete
- Factory bed liner (through black appearance package)
I'm an April 16th confirmed order and I was scheduled ?Quick correction on this: apparently my dealer generated the order sheet preview on May 6, 2021; however, Ford's tracking says my order was confirmed on April 28, 2021. Regardless, I'm technically an April order that was scheduled. Not a May order.
Checked with Cyberdman on BO. He gave me a build week of 8/2 (a week earlier).Called Marketing just now. Had VIN for nearly two weeks, but good news today!!!
Gave me a build week of Aug 8.
Ordered 4/21, 7.3 Lariat Ultimate CG Tremor (All options except adaptive steering and winch)
Woohoo!
Welcome. Yes, I believe the VIN is assigned at the time of build scheduling.Does the VIN get assigned at the same time it’s scheduled for build?
Thanks Soop!Welcome. Yes, I believe the VIN is assigned at the time of build scheduling.
What color are you thinking of switching to?
It says you're in WNC (I assume you're referring to Western NC). What dealer are you going through? I'll be in the market in the not too distant furture.
Welcome to the club. I'm guessing at this stage a change could either be impossible or push the schedule. It would probably just cause a reorder and the dealer would accept your first order as dealer stock. If he has that much information he should be able to get you a VIN and schedule.Hi everyon, I’ve been lurking here for a while. You people really are the best source of information available for those of us stuck in this waiting game. I don’t really believe anything my dealer says, he’s a nice enough guy, I just don’t think he cares enough about my one truck to do the hard digging. Knowing there are so many others in the same situation has made it easier to put up with. Misery loves misery. So I decided I should add my details to the mix.
Details of my build.
2022 F350 6.7L Lariat Black Appearance Antimatter Blue
Just about every option except winch
Ordered 4/19 Confirmed 4/20
No build date or VIN yet
However, I called the dealer today to ask if changing the color would mess up my position. After looking into it and getting back to me he said it was scheduled to be built in the next couple weeks. But didn’t give me a date. He said he wouldn’t recommend changing the color because it might screw things up. Again, I don’t know that I believe him. I asked him for the VIN so I can order the topper I want. The topper company won’t special order topper without VIN. What the hell? Why do they care if I don’t have a truck to put it on? And the topper is 16 weeks back ordered once I do get the VIN and order it.
Does the VIN get assigned at the same time it’s scheduled for build?
It seems to me that all the trucks being scheduled are the gassers.

Yea, that worries me too.Someone on another forum said that when they changed an option on their order at the dealer, the base price went up. Makes me reluctant to make any changes now.

I feel the same way about the salesman at my dealer. You would think your little brother would call and call to see what is happening with your build.Hi everyon, I’ve been lurking here for a while. 2022 Iconic silver Lariat 7.3. Ordered 5/8 confirmed BY FORD on 6/1. No VIN yet.

I like the Carbonized Grey. But not that much more. Not enough to restart the whole process.
Well it’s not in NC, I am dealing with long Lewis out of Hoover AL. Worth the drive for $ saved. Offer full KBB out of the gate for mine, and well below MSRP. Ask for Blake Lawson, best sales guy I have ever dealt with. He responds, updates with out all the dealer crap...It says you're in WNC (I assume you're referring to Western NC). What dealer are you going through? I'll be in the market in the not too distant furture.
