I just got an update from my Ford Corporate contact... The earliest any 22's are going to be built is early sept.... The Chip Shortage is to blame...
This directly contradicts information posted in this thread recently. Someone said 22's are only given build dates if they have all parts including chips. Let's hope your info isn't true. ?
I'm at a loss at this point, I had a build date of 7/19 for weeks and now for the last several days it is now TBD. I called Ford Marketing with nothing new to add and my dealer has less info than I do. Maybe what your saying about the Sept build dates being the earliest is true.
I received my build week of 7/19 from Ford Marketing 2-3 weeks ago. Contacted my dealer this week to see if they had any updates. They had my build date! 7/21. This information was given to me yesterday.
I called Ford yesterday she gave me the build date week of August 2nd. I asked does this mean build, send to storage and wait for the chip? She said no. Ford slipped the build date from late July to built with the chip.

My 250 tremor 7.3 order date 5/14 is still without a vin. Stopped by the dealer and he told me that he is not aware of any ‘22 SD that the dealership has ordered have a vin. Said all ‘21 SD’s that have been ordered at the dealership have vin and build dates. That is what I was told today
I hope so too. I was provided a VIN and build date of 07/26 when I called Ford Marketing on 06/03. I called again an hour ago and was told there had been no change and my build was still scheduled for 07/26. Fingers crossed it holds.
No. But you have to order the second alternator to be able to get the winch from the factory.
No warranty if you install. I have a Warn on my Jeep for 5yrs but it's on the bumper no issues...with all the cameras and sensors on these trucks I am not will to forfiet my warranty.
You missed my point. The good, small time, dealers will do the warranty still. Having great long standing relations is always the best. Ford parts are minimum 2 year warranty anyways.
You would’t lose the truck warranty, just the warranty of the winch itself. (Potentially)
