Sounds like they, the dealer, are guesstimating? Doesn’t seem like Big Ford would give an official 2 month window for a build.

I am pretty confident Greiner Ford / Lithua Motors is lying to me. No communication, Im a Z plan which means a 10/11 priority and I got put at a 19. Refuse to give me any info. And what they do give me contradicts with what Ford customer service gives me. Most definitely the worst service Ive ever received at a dealership ever.
Ordered 3/17, factory received order 3/19. Priority code 15.
Still no VIN/build date. 7.3 Tremor Lariat Stone Grey (no sunroof, no carpet). I’d guess it’s commodity related but slightly frustrating nonetheless.

Well that sucks the sweaty hairy nutz. I didn’t know that sync 4 wasn’t cracked yet.
The good news is that so many mustang owners must be buzzing like angry bees trying to get that done.
I will very much need to “jail break” my
2022 f350 with sync 4. Door and seatbelt chimes, horn blasting, video in motion - come on. That’s needed.
I’m not a huge fan of the remote monitoring theory. Yuck. That sounds like a great idea for Ford, though.
At least when our trucks come in (2024) they may have worked it out. ?

Because I like pain, I called the Ford Marketing team again today. 800-334-4375.
I don’t have any information on my truck other than it’s pending. Ordered 4/28 (confirmed).
The gentleman on the phone suggested I call my dealer and have them place a second order. The rationale he used was that he’s seen super duty trucks ordered in June with build dates and vins already.
He did ask if my truck was special, like a tremor or something. Once he learned it was a tremor he said that may be it too.
Just add this to the growing posts of “who knows what is going on” thread. ?
I did ask if there was any incentives for me to keep my order, but there is nothing for 22s. No PCO for me either.
It is what it is. Glad I am not in a hurry like some of you guys.

Monday when I called Ford Marketing, the guy I talked to told me the exact same thing about placing a second order, must've been the same person. I ordered on May 17, mine's a 350 XLT 7.3L regular cab (not a Tremor), with Sync 3, and none of the backup assist or camera options that's included in the current delays. I'm a little leery of making a second order though. Like changing lanes during a traffic jam, you might get screwed.
Called Ford today and they told me build dates have slipped. The reason is they are slipping is that they are not mostly building a truck and then sending it to storage, waiting for the chip and then finishing. The dates are for a complete build. Ordered on 4/3. Lariat, 445 big block. Build week is August 2nd. Will it slip again? Don't know. But a delay for a truck that is built one time the right way is my preferred path.
As much as I hate to say this... the only answer right now is that there is no answer... Trust me when I say that I speak with FMC corporate every single day about this... Chip Shortage is what is holding this up..
I ordered a 2022 F250 Lariat Monday(6-21) evening. I called Ford Marketing to confirm order as I hadn't received the email. Low and behold, I got my VIN and build date today!!! WOOHOO
Well that’s preferable at least. Build them as they can be completed so we’re not dealing with the storage lot purgatory.
I ordered Tuesday (6-22) and haven't called as I assumed it would take a few weeks to get a VIN or build date but this gives me hope. I will have to try calling tomorrow. ?
Ordered a Lariat Diesel on 4/30. Confirmed with Ford on 5/1. As of today still no order date or VIN. Has anybody with a Diesel got an Order Date? My dealership is telling me that the only trucks they see getting pick up right now are the Gas motors.
Ordered a Lariat F350 Tremor Diesel on 5/11/21, got vin last Thursday and scheduled build date of 7/28/21 today
If I made changes after the confirmation date, does that move my spot in line? According to the order sheet my Priority Code is 10. First Truck I've ordered so not real sure how the whole process works.
