What do you in that instance? I don't know that these patches would work?

Hey! Amy from GlueTread here. You have two options if the damage is over the lettering. You can really carefully, using a grinder, flatten the area without getting the tire too hot. Most people obviously don't carry a grinder on the trail. So, the other option is to use a pocket knife to cut down the lettering, and then sand the rest, using the sand paper provided in the kit. We've tried to show this in a few videos, here's one example. Hope it helps!

Beautiful - luckily I do carry a grinder in my rig.

This is a tool that I cannot live without due to its multi-use and it being so versatile.

Hi Amy thank you for the response back and the video of more information!

Great to know the max psi. I know a few will run 22psi @ 8klbs, I run about 32psi @ 10k lbs on the trail.
Your vehicle in the video of 6,800lbs I believe is the lightest weight option 7.3 empty tremor on this forum, with some around 10-11k lbs on the trails.

But like your video said it would at least get you off the trail hopefully if you were to take it easy, and we all have load range E tires without the 4" gash in the side :)

Ever use a jigsaw as a "fein tool" (oscillating saw)? I've cut baseboards to fit fancy legged sink pedestals and trim door jambs to accept wood flooring using jigsaws. 😉
