I've got a basic patch kit that will do well for punctures in the tread, but this would be great to have should shit really go sideways.

When you’re prepared to go sideways. Then going sideways just becomes normal and part of the story.

My truck loves to go sideways.

I'v always wondered this myself yet thankfully, I haven't had the need to use any of these kits thus far.

I often wonder as well, what if the puncture is over the lettering of the tire or more towards the "side thread" where it's not totally flat (or smooth)?

What do you in that instance? I don't know that these patches would work?

In any event, I carry a few patch kits in the rig, Gluetread being one of them.

Hey! Amy from GlueTread here. We actually get this comment a lot, but the patches durability has more to do with PSI than weight. Our patches are rated up to 40 psi, enough to get ya outta trouble. Also, here's a video where we do some serious testing on a suuuper heavy vehicle, just for extra context.
