I thought "ya'll" was a southern thing; is it customary for Washingtonians!? 🤪

Two things:
  1. In many ways I am southern at heart.
  2. I wouldn’t exactly call it customary, but it’s not uncommon up here. It’s a good way to refer to a group of people!

Lol true! I hope it’s seen as a positive thing.

If any Texan wants me to stop using it I’m happy to be bribed by some good southern BBQ. 🤤

Oh man I would love to, but unfortunately I can’t make a spontaneous Texas trip happen. I’ll legit start planning for that, though!

Current batch is sold out. Expect next pre-order batch to open around September (maybe early if lucky). Please add your email to the Waitlist on the product page :)

To be honest the best BBQ in Texas comes from a small geographical area, Austin, Lockhart, Elgin, Llano.....primarily oak and mesquite are used to smoke for several hours. No fire directly under the meat. Firebox at one end, meat in the middle, smoke exit on the other end. Sounds simple, but temperature is the key. The other major factor is the rub. Most good pitmasters make thier own, ingredients vary. Then there is the sauce and that's where the disagreements start, kinda like politics, vinegar base, no vinegar.....There are good sauces, but me, other than sausage I prefer no sauce. Kinda like steak sauce, why do you want to alter the taste of a good steak or BBQ. Your choice of course!

Haha. Well done. Though lots of disagreements have started at the rub.

407 in argyle Tx has great bbq. It’s byob as a bonus if you’re ever out that way. Stay away from Hard Eights. Save your money!
