You’re upset because you spent $250 to fix what should come stock on a $70,000 to $105,000 truck and you’re crying about it.
I had to wait 11 months to get my truck. I have been on @BroncoHooves wait list for almost from the beginning. The guy has shown pictures of them almost ready to go. He has battled some serious stuff and you can’t shut up and wait a few months! Are you a child!?!?!
I am literate. “Pre-order” means advanced access to existing product before official public release…and “in stock” means again, existing product that’s ready to go.
I’ve been following the thread since before I joined the forum (in 2022) back to 2021. I signed up on the waitlist as soon as it opened.
My intention was to spend $250 for the set, but it doesn’t exist…the $250 went to crowdfund component purchases. If the guy wanted investments, that’s what he should make clear.
I don’t have any problem waiting two months for a limited shipping cycle because the mfg is super busy…but that’s not the case. Instead the product doesn’t exist.
I understand the predicament, but you should make it clear you’re crowdfunding production, not taking pre-orders. There’s no shame in crowdfunding. All the best.
Crowd Funding is generally used to develop a concept or product from scratch without capital outlay by the creator.
Pre-Ordering is used to market/sell developed products that may be out of stock, or made-to-order.
This product has already been designed, engineered, and tested. In and of itself, the fact that parts need to be ordered to produce units doesn’t automatically mean “crowd funding”.
A simple Google search would have addressed your confusion:

- Pre-order: When customers place a monetary order in exchange for a yet-to-be-launched product. The revenue obtained from pre-orders can fund the building and release of the product.
- Crowdfunding: Funding your business idea through small investments from a large number of people.

About to order as like many of you I have been waiting for these from the day Hooves announced. I think its cool AF and am happy with what he did and have no issue with the process. Not sure why anyone would and if you dont jsut dont buy. I am kinda wondering why I didnt an email about it when those went out ha Course it is possible I did and missed it or just ignored it ha ha
