After watching the links you posted in that thread, I came away with a similar sentiment. Curious though, sites like Tire Rack and others seem to be indicating that the AT3W is being discontinued? A lot of the more popular sizes are showing stocked out and were priced at "closeout" discounts

This specific size was made in Chy-na. I read other reviews where theirs came from Thailand. Unfortunately this size did not.
Edit to add; Sumitomo Rubber.
I heard a few conflicting reports, some sources said they will coexist, others said at4w will replace at3w. I hope it’s the former, but don’t have insider knowledge to say for sure.

@Tex_Hunter, I was told that yesterday by the manager of my local Discount Tire. He said he believed they’re discontinued.
I could’ve got the A/T3 had I chose them, but he mentioned that might be the last time I had that option.

My AT3'S are definitely awesome, they do everything you said and much more!
Well, instead of guessing i just called and asked about the future if at3w with intro of at4w. The lady confirmed that Falken will be “phasing out” at3w. No definitive timeline, but i guess that answers the question longer term. I personally wished both would co-exist, but it is what it is.
Great looking tire. I am leaning this way when I replace my original tires. Staying with stock size as I put a camper in the box for summer.

Seems like the Falken fan-boy thread. I am 30K on my Duratracs, and the seem to be willing to make it through this coming summer. I don't really hate the Duratracs like many of the users here, but I also rotate them at every oil change (5K). Where I feel the Duratracs have let me down is in the snow - they don't seem as good as the BFG A/Ts I have had on other rigs. I dig the aggressive look, though.

@Vermonster, I’ve never owned a set of Falkens in my life. Thought I’d share a tire that is newly developed and was released literally within the last month how they perform on our trucks.
As mentioned I’ll be sure to post my experience with these as I get some miles on. I hope to become a Falken fanboy, but time will tell.

Oh, I mean the whole thread with all the positive discussion for the tires, not calling you out. It has me thinking when my tire time comes, I will need to consider these.

@Vermonster I've had BFG's on several trucks, Duratracs on two, and I'm on my second pair of Falkens AT3W's. The Falkens have been the best in rain and snow, and with the least noise. Living in a similar climate to you, I find the Falkens click a lot of boxes for me, including going into the mountains most weekends for skiing with the family, moderate off-roading, and towing 10-15k. I have 33k on my current AT3W's and they look like this:

It's an unfortunate deal breaker for me. I've heard so many people speak so highly of them too.
Tread looks nice, bet they'll be plenty durable, but the sidewall designs look they'll they'll probably always be dirty/muddy stained up, the design doesn't seem to look like it would keep itself clean at all from normal running around. Guess we'll all see eventually.

Obviously your choice, I completely dispise what's going on in the world today, especially China and Russia. I like and prefer to buy USA when possible. Honestly our country struggles more than they should to produce a quality product. Also most domestic brand tires are now produced overseas, China, Japan, Thailand and the list goes on. The Falken tires I have are exponentially a better performing tire than ANY I have owned.
I would. If staying in the stock size. Pretty much every review will tell you that duratracs are now an outdated design.
I went to yokohoma geolander ats, and while they are the absolute quietest at tire with snowpeak designation i do think they lack in the handling department. These might be a notch louder but handle like a knife, especially now with a slightly stiffer rubber.
Basically, at least on paper, these at4ws are the most modern tire that has everything right about it.
Spot on. I was surprised when i noticed that my toyo at3 37.12.50/18s were made in the US, but if they were made on china i wouldn’t think twice about it. My iphone is made there too.
