You are correct, but then you gotta drive between the fence posts, which can also be a challenge 😉

I drove most of the Texas overland trail last weekend in my truck and ended up at this very place. HIGHLY recommend!

Also, it may not be on the itinerary but the water crossing south of Mason is worth a visit. Over 100 yards long when I did it and you cannot tell how deep it is at the start (spoiler, it’s not deep at all). Second, the Pacific War museum is also really cool.
 
Just booked a place to stay for the weekend with the wife, wish I still had my deer lease in Brady so I didn't have to pay for a place to stay (new one in Concan isn't quite up to par). Can't wait for some cooper's I miss stopping there on the way to the lease.
 
From 2012 to 2019, I lived in 5 Texas towns (College Station, Rockwall, Sherman, Wichita Falls and Temple) and from those towns, I worked in several different Texas Counties. During that time, I was able to go several places and do quite a few things in the Lone Star state.

Fredericksburg is a neat little town and no doubt all of you guys will have a great time there! The main reason I went to Fredericksburg was to go here --------------------------->

Oh nice, you ready for the mad house this weekend? Wife and I are debating attempting the drive from Houston out to the lease to watch the eclipse and maybe try and shoot a turkey, but i10 scares me with the amount of projected traffic for the eclipse.

Today they have put porta potty around town. People are already showing up. Not sure what to expect honestly 😕
 
Myself and possibly modified are going to do a run on the route for the trail portion of our upcoming meet up. We will tweak it to make it an experience everyone will enjoy. But of course there is the BBQ at COOPERS and the Alstadt experience, gonna be an experience for sure. Ask anyone from other meet ups, so much fun, knowledge, and friendships gained. See you there!!!!
 
I'm happy to report that I've upgraded from a "no chance" to a "strong maybe"! We're in the process of moving from Guam back to Texas. I just got an update today that the vessel carrying my truck should be arriving in Long Beach tomorrow. If clearing Customs and transport to Houston goes quickly, chances of us making to the meet are looking better and better. I've spent years riding motorcycles in the Hill Country and really hope this works as I'd love to see all of you and drive this area in the Tremor. FIngers crossed!
