I could easily black out anything but the headlights. I won’t mess around with that. Just gotta decide if that’s worth 2k to me ?

You should be able to get decent money for the takeoff bumpers.

That’s fair. I guess “blacked out” is a bit too strong, but the lenses aren’t orange like they are without the package, so they have been changed as a part of the package.

The lens were completely clear. Looked horrible.

Then a spray in Ben liner worth $500

So it’s about $3200 for the following items:
Painted bumpers
Painted headlight trim
A couple other trim/emblem items
Rear fender liners

Is there something substantial I missing to account for the cost? Seems like I could get upgraded heavy duty bumpers and paint/replace some trim for less than that?

The black appearance package gives black 20 in wheels and tires n a different step that u don't get with the tremor package

But if you add the Tremor package to black package you get a discount. Like 600 bucks or something like that. Then when you add ultimate lariat package to Tremor you get another discount....

Also Ground Effects...is literally across the st from KTP...Google is your friend.

The interior LED lighting, and the exterior LED accent lighting are part of the Lariat packages. They're not part of the LED Package (included with the Black Package) which is just the head lights/tail lights/fog lights.

He claimed they use a 3rd party and it causes a delivery delay and the quality of very inconsistent.

I got the factory option ... it seems fine .. Linex is probably better but I wanted to hold the dealer accountable for everything and I have had no issues with the ford option.

I got the clear ones also ... which I kept as they looked way better than Yellow.... and the dealer told me if I changed them make sure I kept them as stock was worth more if I trade it in.

To clarify this:
  • The LED headlights were not included in the Ultimate package in 2020. Like today, the Ultimate Package was required in order to get the LED headlights, but they are a separate item and cost.
  • What is now called the Black Appearance Package was called the Sport package in 2020. They are the same thing. The new Sport Package (new with 22MY) is entirely separate.
  • The 2020 sport package did include the LED headlights, same as the Black Appearance Package does today. So nothing changed there.
No question Ford changes lots of things from year to year when it comes to ordering, but the LED headlights have been very consistent for 20MY, 21MY, and 22MY.

From the 20MY order guide, showing that the headlights weren't included in the Ultimate Package, but required the Ultimate Package to even be an option:
