Black appearance package huh?

Ok, so looking to order a Lariat Tremor. I like black, don’t like chrome…

I’m trying to figure out what I missing with the black appearance package. Seems like some pretty minimal upgrades for $4200 bucks (I know there a 500 discount with the Tremor package, so $3700)…
Then a spray in Ben liner worth $500

So it’s about $3200 for the following items:
Painted bumpers
Painted headlight trim
A couple other trim/emblem items
Rear fender liners

Is there something substantial I missing to account for the cost? Seems like I could get upgraded heavy duty bumpers and paint/replace some trim for less than that?

I purchased my Tremor in March 2020 at Koons Ford dealer in Sterling, Va. They have alot of trucks and cars but had a few tremors in stock due to there tier 1 dealership status and a few super snakes on the lot. I purchased the Lariat vs the basic XLT crome package cause it looked tuff! The bumpers are painted, the grill and lights are blacked out and all the emblems are blacked out which i like. So i had a choice and side by side i chose the Lariat and no regrets over a year later, infact i get lots of compliments on it's looks. Plus i had to get the 7.3 godzilla motor and have added MBRP black exhaust to match the trucks theme just silver and black no chrome anywhere.

To clarify this:

• The LED headlights were not included in the Ultimate package in 2020. Like today, the Ultimate Package was required in order to get the LED headlights, but they are a separate item and cost.
• What is now called the Black Appearance Package was called the Sport package in 2020. They are the same thing. The new Sport Package (new with 22MY) is entirely separate.
• The 2020 sport package did include the LED headlights, same as the Black Appearance Package does today. So nothing changed there.

No question Ford changes lots of things from year to year when it comes to ordering, but the LED headlights have been very consistent for 20MY, 21MY, and 22MY.

I got the sport ultimate ( 2020 ) I was not 100% sure about the LED lights until it came in. I also was not sure about the heated steering wheel. It was a nice surprise.

Nope. I have an Ultimate Lariat and no LED headlights.

You have to get the Black Appearance package to have the LEDs included. I did the ultimate and black appearance. Found it odd that I still needed to pay for rain sensing and heated wheel…they do nickel and dime for a 70k plus truck.
