All in one air system - What are you using?

I'm a buy once , cry once kind of thinker. I've tried several times to save some money and end up spending money twice.

But... everyone's use case is different. I air up and down often. So my setup makes sense to me.

Did I just justify my spend? Rationalize might be a better word.

I am in the same boat as you. I have an ARB brushless twin and a LogiQ SD2 on the way. Both compressors will be plumbed to the coupler on the back, but only the Logiq will be plumbed to the airbags. If I need to use the ARB for the airbags, I will use the manual ports. I am not even sure I can rationalize it, let alone justify it…I just want it. 😀. After a ton of research, I realized that no one makes a single system that is good at both, so two separate systems it is. The shop that installed my bags put in manual ports, using the license plate screw holes.

Not to completely derail this thread. Some of the setups in this thread and others on this forum are incredible. I love the air hookup in the bumper. But for the couple of trips I take a year I’m not sure that’s where it’s best to invest over tires, suspension and such.

Has anyone used/tried these before or others like them?

I only ask as I have about 20 rybobi batteries with about 12 being 4ah or 6ah. So if I took my 6 battery pack charger on my trips and plugged into cab power to charge and used this do they work well enough. No where near as sexy but also 40-$60 solution.

Just starting to plan ahead as next summer hoping to take wife and kids on road trip west from Chicago over about 2 weeks to Mount Rushmore. Going to stop and go through badlands, Custer park and other places. Want to do a decent amount of “trail paths” rather than pure highway” and going to take the tremor. So I know 10 months will come up quick.

thanks. I’ve looked at things like this or even the ford performance one that comes in plastic box. Not opposed to these as still much more affordable and multi use.

Do you have experience with either of the SB or HF you posted?

Appreciate the input.
I have the HF one. I've also had one exactly like it from another brand years ago. They work fine and much better than any cheap one. That Smittybilt one is significantly more flow though and they make a "twin for a little more money. Moving up in price again is the Rough Country ARB twin clone that people seem to love. It has the exact same mounting pattern as the ARB so will mount the same also.

I prefer everything separate. In the jeeps I use an ARB locker compressor for my ARB lockers. Inflation is ARB twins.

Air bags in the truck have an AirLift system. Tire inflation is handled via portable Milwaukee M18 compressor but I don’t wheel the truck so that’s a tire issue inflator after needing a plug or a patch. Or to help someone else who needs air.

I like to minimize connections as much as possible.

Thanks I saw that SB one and the twin motor one. Both seem nice would prob go with the twin motor for price point and benefit.

Also came across this company that has a huge Jeep following it seem:

They have lots of good reviews with things like - “Aired down my 4 37’s from 37psi to 19 in 4 minutes. Aired back up using your compressor in less than 6.5 minutes.”

Thanks everyone

Based on the price of those alone they are going to be slooooooowwwww to air up tires. Read the reviews...

If you could step up to one of these, you'd be much, much happier.

Also, know that for most of us, not towing with normal loads, we can get away with 45psi all around on the stock tire size. That might be enough for you. Airing down to 25-30 will help dirt road ride a ton though.

I'm down to 10 psi! Oh yes, it definitely works! After watching the following video, it's a no brainer!

I’m installing an ARB compressor with a Viair tank this weekend for airing up tires. Since the tank will already be there. I’m throwing in some big rig horns for fun. I prefer the deep sound over the train horns.

What brand horns are those and where did you mount them? Have a pic?

Optimus is correct. They’re Hadley. Ambassador set. I struggled finding a place to mount them because they’re so long. Ended up putting them on the outside of the frame behind the driver’s side running board. May be a bad idea, but I didn’t want to drill into the frame so I used really strong magnets and it’s working out. I can’t move them or pull them off if I tried. Also ended up running each horn off its own port from the tank instead of a tee. It’s way louder than I expected.

Looks great! We need a short video next. I wouldn't expect any other brand for you: Mack/Hadley for MackDaddy 😁.

I’m planning out OBA and airbags (full travel) and contemplating exactly what this thread seems to be about - do I want:

A) an independent compressor + controller for the bags, or
B) a controller/regulator connected to the OBA ARB, or
C) manual fill with easy to access connection(s)

C is looking more appealing the more I look into it, but I begin to wonder whether have enough real estate for mounting the multiple connections in the license plate area. Maybe the Dirt Church Flip Flow is my answer.

Any photos of what others have done?

I have the horn blasters air compressor for my 5 gallon tank running my train Horn and air for my tires. Could I upgrade to the ARB twin brushless and

run it to my tank or should I have it hooked up separately just for my tires?

This was designed to be temporary but I'm considering redoing it for a more permanent install. Its super easy to get to and is tucked outta the way of any potential debris.

I 3d printed the mount, zip-tied it to the receiver and also 3d printed the cap for the coupler.
I do not have airbags yet. Havent decided yet if I will make the switchable to inflate/deflate or have it be a manual process.
I AM going to have a dedicated fill line to each bag for leveling ability
Here's the thread I started to document my OBA journey.

On my F-150 I did a manual fill to the plastic mounting plate for the AC plug in the bed.

A single ARB brushless with a 2 to 3 gallon tank in my opinion should be more than enough to handle air bags, air horns and onboard permanent mount air port couplers. Stop and think when if ever would you be using more than one of those functions at the same time.

If I’m wrong somebody educate me please I’m try to understand why anyone would want to mount more than one of these systems given the ARB Brushless’s CFM capability!

That would probably be sufficient, but maybe a little slow for large tires

You are correct I said single in my post but meant the “twin brushless ARB” that should be very adequate for just about any size tire system.
