F250 Platinum Tremor - I've done calculation over calculation on this to find out where I stand with tongue weight and cargo weight. With the trailer package and a GVRW you have 10800, truck weight is 8,135 if you subtract the capacity given as 2,665. The Axle rating is 5200/6340 for a total of 11,540 max. Tires are 4,080 each giving 16,320 max. I think the best way is to load it up including the trailer and go to the scale and make sure neither axle goes over, and your four wheels doesn't go over the 10,800. I have a bumper pull trailer with ATV + gear in the truck. Close to getting it loaded up and heading to the scales to see where it lands.

Any idea what would make my payload numbers be some of the lowest in this thread? 2021 F250 7.3 Lariat Ultimate, winch, 5th wheel prep, utt, no sunroof.

Maybe this is useful to some folks?

I took all the payload sticker data I could find on this thread and made a quick spreadsheet. It's a way to see all the data thus far at-a-glance. So it appears that on average for a 7.3L, the F-350 has approx. 1,000lbs greater payload capacity. For a 6.7L, the advantage drops to approx. 600lbs.

To all the nerds out there who like to nit-pick I offer this disclaimer: This data may have errors....and may not be anywhere near representative of all Tremors sold. I just threw it together quickly (for myself) and thought I'd share in case it helps some guys trying to make a '250/'350 and/or powerplant decision. Enjoy.

I have exactly the same question about the spread of data. Is it possible you have many heavy options? All I can figure is that Ford actually creates that sticker based on the specific options chosen? The payload capacity based on a particular frame/suspension/tire configuration is known. And Ford knows what each (optioned) component weighs, so it is easy for them to subtract from max (base) configuration. What is left is what the owner must keep under in terms of payload/fuel/occupants/cargo items? So they put that *exact* number on the sticker? Just a guess. Wish I knew for sure.

Yeah I figure the factory winch and extra battery account for some of the weight difference.

Yes payload is simply the GVWR subtract the factory weight of the truck (including fluids and 150lb driver). No idea if they actually weigh it or do it by tracking the build. Previously in the thread (actually it was the other thread) I posted my scale weights and it's surprisingly close to the sticker.

Not sure you got an answer to this, but the truck is almost certainly derated to 10,000, or something close to that.

I was thinking the same thing as TexanTremor. It sounds like we have a nearly identical truck except for the winch, 5th wheel prep or UUT and mine is 2,843. I have the 10K derate option.

Anyone know if they plan on putting that payload calculator back up on Ford fleet site? Or know of any others that would work with just a VIN?

The weight of the winch and the 5th wheel prep reduce the payload. Sunroof would have reduced it even more.

All, this is a great thread that continues to help me with my research. I am looking to order a Tremor next year....and hoping to do a "2-Fer" discount by also getting the boss lady an Expedition at the same time.

Question on Payload. For those with an F350 7.3 Platinum Tremor, What are your Payload numbers?

Here's a link to my payload sticker.
