Not to question your wisdom because you are usually spot on with your info, but how do you know those are "C" wires. It didn't say it anywhere in the discription and the last characters in the photo where JB not "C". I'd like to order some even though I've never had a problem. Thanks.Went ahead and ordered a set of the "C" wires today as backups. I haven't noticed any issues with the originals but you don't want to get stranded out on a trip.
Rock Auto has them under the Motorcraft part #WR6167 for $12.18 each.
Found this on the RV forum. Comment #87 the fellow posted a picture of the package from Ford. Both numbers are listed on the package so I decided I was convinced enough to roll the dice. I'll know more when they arrive in a few days and I'll post pictures for everyone. Not to question your wisdom because you are usually spot on with your info, but how do you know those are "C" wires. That would be a bit of an experiment. Not as far as sleeve size but as far as overall effect. It's possible the sleeve would hold in heat that migrates up through the plug from the cylinder head. Or maybe the problem is completely from heat radiating from the exhaust manifolds. It would just be a long term test to see if it actually works. I do know this, if it was that simple of a fix, why wouldn't Ford be doing this? Just my logic. So who is running a heat sleeves on the stock wires? I'm really not seeing much reference to it here.
Was hoping someone had done the research to see what size fits over the boot![]()
Here's another parts supplier that if you use either the Ford or Motorcraft number, you get the same part and same price.Found this on the RV forum. I apologize for the possible mis information but I think i have the B wires after more research. I thought the C11HK signified the "C" wires, but now realize the part number on my is LC3E-12286-MB which means the B wire correct?Yes, my 22 that I picked up late last September has the C wires.
let me reword this .....My 2022 has more than 1 type of plug wires. What gives....anybody????again, what gives with my 2022 with different plug wires? would they just grab and go at the engine plant?

Pull one of those and flip it over… it will say the same thing as the others on the flip side.Unless I have overlooked something, it looks like 2 different plugs to me.
Thanks for the info. Thats where I overlooked something. Glad I put that disclaimer in there. lolPull one of those and flip it over… it will say the same thing as the others on the flip side.
Something to check on when your's comes in I guess. Even If some have them I would still check when you get your truck.Nice! Still curious if anyone with a recently delivered 7.3 has the new c wires or if these were a motorhome specific replacement for some reason.
Ten assemblies, total price was 138.88 including sales tax and shipping to Indiana from CO,Still agree with you @RedZilla, this is a cheap peace of mind upgrade so we don’t need to mess with it in the future.
Mine are the b wires. Truck was delivered December of ‘21Something to check on when your's comes in I guess. Even If some have them I would still check when you get your truck.
@RedZilla what is the full engineering part number on the actual wire?Ten assemblies, total price was 138.88 including sales tax and shipping to Indiana from CO,
@RedZilla what is the full engineering part number on the actual wire?
Should be of the format: xxxE-12886-xx
The engineering number on the wire is: LC3E-12286-JB. @Tucsontremor your wires appear to be version "C" based on this. See @Modman's post comment #96 on page 5.Mine are the b wires. Truck was delivered December of ‘21
