Tow Hook Flag Mount

I recently posted in the upcoming Michigan Meetup a new dune flag mount I was designing. It sparked a lot more interest than I was thinking it would so deciding to start a separate thread for the sale these.

Key highlights of the design:

• Dune flag mount that meets the forward mounting location requirements of Michigan off-road areas (such as Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Bundy Hill Off Road Rec)
  • Could also be used to fly other flags or banners (e.g. tailgating or large gatherings)
• Prevents metal to metal contact with the tow hook, which can cause wear or damage
• 3D printed in ASA for strength and weather/UV resistance
• Modeled to be an exact match with the Super Duty tow hook
  • Fits Ford Super Duty years 2020-2026
• Metal hardware is all 304 stainless and blacked out
  • Metal flat is powder coated in a texturized black
• Dual locating pins ensure proper alignment between the two halves
• No tools required to install mount
  • 3D printed knob prevents the need for a wrench
• Flat head socket screw and lock nut keep the metal flat attached to the top half of the mount for easy installation to minimize final piece parts
  • 2 halves
  • 1 bolt w/ knob attached
  • Flat washer
  • Lock washer
  • 1/2" hole for whip mount or quick connect

Mounts are $50 plus shipping and should be ready to ship by early Jan. Anyone that is coming to the meetup and doesn't need this earlier. can save the shipping and pick it up there.

Let's call it the forum discount. In reality, I went back and forth on pricing for this and ultimately found this to be a good point. Not expecting to make millions on this but have enough margin to cover my work. As an engineer, they never let me talk dollars and this is probably why.

Or possibly this is the old sales tactic where the shipping is more than the price of the part.

Heck, I could've used a flag/safety telltale last month when some clown crested a blind rise I was climbing off highway, on a known hazardous off-highway route into and out of a camp area near Monument Valley. Very near collision and I wasn't very happy about it. My buddy who was 50 yards farther along warned that driver who seemed to shrug it off. Some people! I'm tellin' ya! have no sense.

Anyhoo... yeah. Want one. Need one. And not just for dunes, see. Very happy to see this offered. Thank you. You do us all a great service.
