2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

My 10/16 went to 11/6 and as of yesterday 11/13. At this point I would expect the 11/13 or maybe 11/20 to be the production week.
My 10/9 went to 11/13 ( strike) and as of yesterday 11/20. I just don't friggin understand Ford, I know there was a strike but the slip is 2X the strike duration

I'm not putting a lot of stock in the scheduling right now. I think we may know more as the week goes on and they start production back up. I did read in another group they are starting MY24 this morning and it will be a slow start. They will speed up production as the week goes on. This was a facebook post so take it with a grain of salt. I can see a lot of trucks being pushed or pulled a week from where they are now. For what its worth mine hasn't moved from 11/27 since the 20th of October, but started at 10/30 then went to 11/6.

I checked my build date yesterday and it pushed back another week to 12/4 after pushing to 11/27 just 4 days earlier. Ready for my truck!

They were having a parts shortage before the strike even happened. So I'd wager they're still dealing with that as well as the strike delay now. I got bumped from 10/9 to 12/4. We have VINs so we're getting built... Just a matter of when now.

Called my dealer after the 45 days came and went. Ordered 9/9/23. Tremor lariat ultimate. Did get confirmation email from Ford same day i ordered. When i called they told me the HO diesel is restrained and they are only building 10-15% Tremor package. They are a small lot in Lewiston ID and don't have any superdutys on the lot. I asked if they had allocation and they said yes. Thinking I should have ordered from a bigger dealer.

Well I just got pushed from 10/23 to 11/6 to 12/4. And I thought I was going to have a truck this year.

Am I the only lariat that didn't grt scheduled? Fml

Mine hasn’t been scheduled either and mine is not an issue with dealer allocation. They are a large dealer that runs through a lot of 250’s. Not sure what’s going on

Is there a way to check on the "size" of a dealer? I mean is there a list somewhere thats public, that ranks the dealers? I mean if we just listen to these bozo's they are all the #1 dealer in the US.

Ford doesn’t release the info publicly in my understanding, but there was a site I had seen that did an inventory search to extrapolate.

Mine is an F-350, maybe that makes a difference for allocations. The dealer I ordered from has a bunch of 250s on the lot, 6.7 and 7.3, (no Tremor) and is apparently in the top 25 or so nationwide in volume according to them.

I haven’t been scheduled nor have I rec’d an order confirmation email from ford. Ordered about a week after order banks opened up.
Outside of just trusting my dealer not much I can do…

Anyone with an early October build date gone into production yet?

Check that your dealer gave Ford your correct email in the order.

Because of the one scheduled per dealer in each round, nature of scheduling, the quickest way to get scheduled is through a small dealer that has just your super duty on order and an allocation for it. You’ll get scheduled first round.

A huge dealer with 40 super duties a head of you will take 40 pick rounds to get to your truck, even if they happen to have 40 Super Duty allocations which they may not. If Ford is only scheduling 4 pick rounds per week, you’ll wait 10 weeks to get scheduled at the big dealer.
All dealers usually get at least one Super Duty allocation per month even if they didn’t earn any more.
You just don’t want a dealer with more orders than allocations, and don’t want one with tons of orders ahead of yours.

I guess that’s not unexpected. I’d have hoped that a priority or working through holdover orders first would be rule of the day since it seems like people like me are still willing to toss cash their way for a damned truck..though that want for a new truck is dwindling a bit every day.

I don’t get scarcity of parts/supply chain argument (or have less sympathy) since others seemed to have figured it out - running lean is great from an accounting perspective but damn... That being said, I do get the strike thing and its impact on supply chain.

I’m a 2023 f350 platinum tremor w/6.7 turned 2024 f350 platinum tremor w/6.7. The wait continues to drive around the Bay Area for work during the week and some camping on the weekends with the 6 year old.
