My bad - I'll take the time. I already cancelled the lay flat seats because they were exhausted and I was told that could hold up the buildAs Arius1 mentioned, you need to carefully watch the video. It’s in the middle of the video.
Currently, I'm scheduled for 11/27. I'm sure that will adjust once things are back in full swing but we'll see.I do wonder just how long this will have set things back. Months maybe? I never received a build date anyway and ordered in September - Platinum. I already was thinking spring
Would be great to at least have a build date!Currently, I'm scheduled for 11/27. I'm sure that will adjust once things are back in full swing but we'll see.
I would wait for next weeks SuperDuty scheduling constraints list and see if the max recline seats are still constrained. These may be built by a supplier that did not close down.My bad - I'll take the time. I already cancelled the lay flat seats because they were exhausted and I was told that could hold up the build
The real question is how long does it takes to get KTP rolling again. I’m sure Ford got heads up about tomorrows restarts and management is working into the night to get things back up.I expect all our dates to change as the plant comes online and gets back to 100%. I was 11/13 and was moved to 11/20.
Really? You think it'll be that long before you see it or do you mean your build date won't be until Feb or March?Would be great to at least have a build date!
Sadly, I don’t think I’ll see a date until feb-march 2024.
That’s a good point. I’m curious as well how long it takes to get back up. I would think in a week or two a clearer picture comes into play, just guessing on that. The real question is how long does it takes to get KTP rolling again. I’m hoping they over bumped and we will all get bumped forward to 2 weeks back from the pre strike scheduled date.
I’ll be watching blend dates on some VIN’s (posted in other forums) that already has the body built just before the strike and see how soon they go through the body drop to frame and shipped.
If it gets back up for more than 4 straight hours they will need to call a doctor … wait .. never mind. That’s a good point. I’m curious as well how long it takes to get back up. I would think in a week or two a clearer picture comes into play, just guessing on that.
Luxury trims are in a different waiting line compared to Lariat, XL and XLT which are getting scheduled a few days after they were ordered.Really? You think it'll be that long before you see it or do you mean your build date won't be until Feb or March?
There are some that still think it’s cute to mark them up. Whatever. They did me a favor. Glad I waited. I do have a base Raptor on order with Gary Crosley (I think that’s the name of the dealership) that possibly would be here beginning of February. Sounds like I will end up passing on it. I know me. I’ll be back and forth until I’m faced with a decision to be made.Luxury trims are in a different waiting line compared to Lariat, XL and XLT which are getting scheduled a few days after they were ordered.
Too many Plats, KR and a Limited get ordered by customers early which takes a couple of months to get caught up. I think this strike is going to have a very small delay on the spring luxury trim scheduling. Also Ford over built stock orders in August in case of the strike. So dealer inventory is in my opinion bloated since the strike only affected KTP 2 weeks.
I see tons of 2023 Lariat Tremors on lots and at least a couple KR and Platinum too.
I think KTP will not need to work to capacity due to dealers not needing more stock, and Luxury trim retail orders (our orders) will only be constrained by suppliers.
Also the carrying cost of stock orders on dealer lots is insane right now. Dealers are really hurting paying interest payments on unsold stock orders. They certainly aren’t going to risk, going out of business ordering more stock until the trucks on their lots get sold. And that’s hard because the loans are high now for consumers too.
My dealership sent my order out on 10/14/2023. Hoping to get a build date in the next 30 days. Glad the Kentucky Plant is opening again.

The dealers marking up Super Duty’s right now are injuring themselves by paying 10% interest in their trucks sitting weeks on lots, and almost as bad, not earning allocations from sold inventory in order to order more trucks for future sales. There are some that still think it’s cute to mark them up. I have no solid evidence this will be the case but I ordered in July and haven’t heard anything since…ordered a KR with several other options addedReally? You think it'll be that long before you see it or do you mean your build date won't be until Feb or March?
Same I had 11/13, and it moved to 11/20. I also expect another bump as things come back online.Mine only moved one week thusfar from 11/13 to 11/20 but i filly expect it to move out another two weeks this week. While strikers are heading back there was also layoffs/furlough that need to be sorted and that may wait until fully ratified.
