2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

I'm a 19 too. Looks like it should be worth the wait. Hope they get some of the bugs ironed out by then.
Agreed

I think I’ll plan for my lariat ultimate tremor late spring maybe later and if i get it sooner ill be happily surprised . Thats what dealer is telling me with order # 5000 and priority code 3.

Does anyond else think to them self is this the way the future of truck orders ? Or is this is just strange times with supply chain issues and maybe these years of trucks will be worth some thing in the future ?
If you're wanting a truck built to your specifications, then i think this is what we should expect for the foreseeable future. Especially if you're wanting something that is limited by Ford to begin with (Tremor, higher trims).

Hopefully Ford's fleet order backlog (particularly government orders) were cleared with the 23s. That seemed to be the biggest issue with retail orders getting filled.

That's great, my dealer says 19 is the highest code :(. I'm just expecting sometime in spring for my build.
19 is the highest code, it is also the worst code. You want to see if you can influence your dealer to give you a lower / better number. 3 is the best you can get without Ford corporate employee getting involved. The lower the number the better place in line you are for your dealer's allocation.

Yeah I may have to talk to the owner vs the sales guy.

SOB I got the same code!!! I feel like I will never get the damn thing now!

The priority codes can be a factor, but they might not make a difference. Post 2 in this thread goes over priority codes in more detail.

Also important to know how many Super Duty orders your dealer has, what is their monthly allocation, how many rollover orders they have from 2023, and how many 2024 orders they received before yours. Also a factor is the configuration of those orders as lower trims, less options are easier to schedule and your dealer may favor those orders.

Of course you still have general constraints and availability at the factory level that all of the above has to work within each week for scheduling.

I suggest picking up a non-truck related hobby and it will make the wait seem a lot shorter. 😉

Lol Granger has my order and I am good with spring, just don’t won’t to get rolled over lol! At least hunting season is about to kick off and by February I will have forgotten I ordered a truck! Haha

Doing some quick math, I don’t think the wait for XL, XLT or Lariat should be long at all.

The current unscheduled order bank only has 10,400 of those. They build about 5,000ish a week. Also none of the chassis cabs on order could be scheduled until today since they are built in Ohio. Will be interesting to see the remaining unscheduled order bank next week once the Ohio plant backlog orders are scheduled.

Should be way less than the current 10,400 left next week for the non luxury trims.

Also depends on the volume of new orders coming in and their trims. But doing the math, the non luxury trims (except HO diesel) could be scheduled less than a month after ordering.

XLT Tremor HO, it seems the HO will be more of a limiting factor then i thought it would be.

It's crazy when you consider that Ford is tracking to make about 339K +/- Super Duties this year between the two plants. Recent data from Ford Authority:

Ford Super Duty production at the Kentucky Truck plant finished the month of August at 33,592 units, which is 12,713 units or 61 percent more than the 20,879 trucks it built in July – marking its best month of production on the year thus far – bringing its year-to-date total up to 189,174 units.

Meanwhile, at the Ohio Assembly plant, Ford built an additional 3,048 Super Duty trucks, which is 883 or 41 percent more than July, bringing its year-to-date total up to 16,505 units. Overall, these figures come out to a total of 36,640 units, which was 59 percent more than the m
onth prior.

I just got my “We expect to build your Super Duty the week of Oct 30th 2023”. I am a priority 19. Lariat Tremor 7.3. I understand that date will probably change but I wouldn’t get to worried about the priority numbers.
