2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

check post #2 on this thread. has all the links you need.

Until the vin is issued, the only way to get any updates is by talking to your dealer or calling / chatting with Ford customer service (Ford Marketing). The phone / chat with Ford will only tell you that your order has been received. Your dealer can give you a better sense of where you are in terms of place in line for scheduling against the allocation the dealer has (assuming there are no constraints in your build each week they do the scheduling).
Thanks I honestly forgot about that earlier post!

Anyone hear tremor package availability is late spring now ?

I'd keep an eye out for the update from Tim at Long MacArthur Ford this week. He pretty much is reading to us the dealer bulletins so we end up knowing everything the dealers know about scheduling and constraints.

I’m having trouble understanding the exhausted availability of F350 only in the higher trims.
I have an F350 Lariat scheduled. And I can’t think of any differences in the Lariat between F250 and F350. My understanding is the F350/F250 differences are a height block, extra leaf on the rear spring, higher weight on the front (available as an option on F250), a badge difference and $1,000.
What am I missing? What would be different between a F350 and F250 lariat except for the side badges that say both F350 and the word Lariat?

There are a number of differences between F-250s and F-350s... except when you're taking about a Tremor. The F-250 Tremor is a re-badged F-350 with a lowered weight rating sticker, but is otherwise identical to a F-350

Some differences incluse different leaf packs and rear axle (Sterling in the 250s and Dana in the 350s). The 23+ also have strengthend the frame to support higher payload and tow ratings, but I'm unclear if those changes extend to both 250/350. Maybe other differences, but can't recall off the top of my head.

You'd think that there is a constraint on the axles or leaf packs for the 350s or something else that aren't a constraining item for the 250s. What's odd in the video is that they'll schedule XL/XLT 350s, so it doesn't make sense why they exhausted 350s on higher trims but not 250s

I’d bet it’s for Dually’s. Not 350 SRW trucks. Just a thought.

That doesn't give me much hope of getting my truck scheduled anytime soon.

How can Lariat f350 be exhausted when my non tremor, and many others, are scheduled for the week of October 9th? They said last week limited availability on the Baja interior as well. My build date is October 9th. Baja, Glacier grey, lariat ultimate, 7.3, moonroof, fifth prep. No change on the schedule date.

Yeah Tim says 350 and F550, which probably actually means F350 though F550 (including F450) which implies dually’s.

But still can’t figure out how that would only affect higher trims.

Sounds to me like it's the chassis cab that might be limited. He's not very clear. First he says all KR and Platinum will get massage seats then he moves on to chassis cab and it's at that point he says Lariat, KR and Platinum are exhausted. Hard to tell what he means and even he stumbles on it.

You have a pretty good configuration to get scheduled. No standard Lariat Wheels (good since they are exhausted), no 649 chrome package wheels (limited availability). Depending on your order date and if your dealer has allocations for you, should be scheduled.

I thought they were low on/or out of wheels for the dually’s.

Yeah I think you’re on to something and this does make sense. Chassis cabs are built in Ohio Plant and they are probably only sending the higher trim components to Kentucky plant. Besides Ohio isn’t even scheduling 2024 model year until November.

just joined the forum. But I had my order confirmation for my F350 Platinum Tremor on 20JUL. I am a K4 priority code. (Whatever that means, maybe Kentucky and priority 4).

However I have not heard of a build date or anything from Ford.

He at one point misspoke and said that the 5th wheel kit was standard on KR and above. Neither the 5th wheel prep package or the hitch kit are standard. Tim is usually a reliable source but guess this was an off day

Welcome to the forum... The priority codes for retail orders are usually just a number and they would range from 3 to 19, and 99. Priority codes 1 and 2 would be set by the Ford Regional Rep, so not something your dealer would assign.

Is your order a retail order or a fleet order? The fleet orders are typically where you would see that priority code and I believe K4 indicates the 4th week of October for when this would need to be built.

Here's a bit on fleet orders from a guide that's a few years old (2015) so some of this may have changed.

Fleet orders are prioritized based on a two-digit alpha-numeric priority code which indicates the month and the week an order needs to be built. Numeric priority codes (including 99) are not valid Fleet priority codes. See the Fleet Priority Code Calendar link below for valid priority codes. Please be aware of the following:
First available priority codes are calculated weekly based on current order bank, available allocation, controlled commodities, and plant downtime. It is very important to review the Fleet DNB weekly as first available priority codes can sometimes change drastically if, for example, there is a large influx of orders received.
Fleet receives a pre-determined amount of allocation (production slots) each month for weekly scheduling. Once the amount of orders prioritized for that week/month exceeds the available allocation, the first available priority code is moved out to the next weeWmonth.
Orders are selected for scheduling based on priority code first, then by order receipt date. Despite how long an order has been in the unscheduled order bank, if the plant is not yet filling the production week associated with the requested priority code, the order will remain unscheduled.
As a general rule of thumb, production dates are at least one month out from order receipt date. Every effort is made to accurately estimate the lead times, and to reflect longer lead times of specific conmodities. In the absence of adjusted lead times for commodities, please use the high, medium, or low risk rating as a guide.
