2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

What as your priority code? I ordered on 7/26, but I have priority code of 10.
I was a Priority 19 with my dealer. I know there were several constraints noted on Long McArthur's podcast for scheduling this week, so that likely factored into many of those that did or did not get scheduled.

Looks like some Tremors being scheduled finally! Order date 7/19, priority code 19

I order an F350 7.3 Lariat Ultimate FX4 on 7/19 and then decided to just switch to a Tremor on 8/21. If they are doing things in order received hopefully I still have that original date. I was reluctant about the Tremor because I didn’t want to risk not getting a truck by spring. But I kept having remorse whenever I saw one lol

Unfortunately there really isn't any line. The Tremor package has limited allocations for dealerships.

My dealer said they had the one tremor allocation that i got . But they said the highest priority code they could give was a 10 so i guess i dont know how some guys got 19 unless it was given by district reps ?

Do the allocations get sent out in one blast email or is it a rolling thing all day? I'm checking my email every 5 minutes and I'll probably drive myself up a wall if this continues for a few more hours. :ROFLMAO:

A dealership can give you a priority all the way down to 3. They can give 3-19.

Unfortunately they can send them out all day. Lol set a timer and refresh your email only when the timer goes off.

How long is it normally taking for trucks to be delivered to dealers after being built?

It can take a week to a month (or longer) depends on the method of transportation with rail taking longer than convoy (truck). Biggest delays for rail are getting loaded onto a train where a truck can sit for days to weeks waiting to get loaded and then loaded onto a truck once at the destination rail yard. My dealer has had trucks sit a couple of weeks waiting to get transported the last few miles.

That said, the timelines the last couple of years have been heavily impacted by pandemic related issues and it seems like the system is getting back on track.

I was under the impression dealers get allocations for various models, example: Super Duty, Explorer, F150, etc. I dont believe they get allocations for Tremors specifically, maybe im wrong .My dealer had allocations for 67 Super Duty trucks, with only 12 orders for 24MY.... priority codes are only relevant to that particular dealer and how many orders they have. The lower the #, the better.

I know thd dealer told me she had a tremor allocated to her . But she is stumped on dealer priority code going to 19 she thought giving me 10 was the most she could give . She put in a call to her district sales rep i guess

That's correct... so if Tremors make up 10% of the production run, then that dealer can reasonably expect to get 6 - 7 Tremors... although that isn't guaranteed... they could get more or less. It depends on availability of Tremor parts each week when orders are scheduled.

Tremor package, among other trims levels and options, was a limited commodity for both MY23 and MY24. Allocations vary from dealer to dealer. On top of that, you also have scheduling constraints and exhausted options from Ford. If you watch the Long McArthur podcasts, they go through this weekly for the SD and other Ford models. The dealer priority won't matter a bit if your order contains any of these constraints. It could be the trim level, gas vs diesel, an option or package such as 5th wheel prep or a certain wheel selection, maybe even the paint color. Varies week to week and tends to have a much more significant impact on scheduling dates than any dealer priority code.

Everyone needs to keep in mind that Priority Code is only within the dealer. It allows a dealer to put special customers ahead of others.

There is a misconception that it affects scheduling against other dealers. Unless below 10 it doesn’t.

Scheduling is like the NFL draft. Each dealer gets one pick in turn. If they don’t have an allocation, the dealer is skipped for that round. Each dealer can only get one pick for scheduling per round. The truck with the lowest priority at that dealer gets picked. If there are ties (bunch of 19’s or bunch of 10’s). Then the one with the oldest order date gets picked for that dealer.

After the first round, I’d they have more capacity, they start over gain with another round, again picking just one truck per dealer.

Provided that dealer has an allocation left.

Prior to Thursday scheduling, the orders are previewed to eliminate the ones with exhausted components. Those are never eligible to be picked regardless of priority code or whether the dealer has an allocation.

Dealers earn allocations based on how much they have sold of each model at various points in the month.

So don’t be focused on priority codes unless less than 10. Some dealers give everyone a priority 19, some everyone a 10. Since each dealer is picked in turn for each round. It doesn’t matter which priority code the dealer picked. It only matters id the dealer gave you a 19 and someone else a 10.

And most importantly, whether your dealer sells enough to earn an allocation for your truck.

Priority codes in the 3 level and maybe any below 10 require regional rep approval. And are usually reserved for a replacement for a truck that got wrecked in shipping or was a carry over because it didn’t get built the previous year.
