2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Got the shipped notification email earlier this week with expected delivery of 9/6-9/12, which was then updated to 8/28 - 9/3! Looks like forgoing my initial plan of waiting for a 25 and sneaking in with a 24 is going to pay off, I might have the truck before they even release 25 info. Already ran some finance numbers and I want to get my insurance figured out so that I am ready to go ASAP once that puppy gets delivered. I would be ecstatic if I got before Labor day weekend but with paperwork I think that is unlikely, but you never know.

Build date is getting closer!!

Just got the production date moved from the week of the 30th to the 23rd of September so a little improvement.

Damn 6/20!! I’m going out of my mind and it’s only 2 weeks. I can’t imagine for the guys waiting half a year or more.
I hear ya, My current platinum took 45 days from order to delivery. But that was back in 2019 😂. Hopefully the wait is worth it!

Truck got delivered today! The salesperson snapped me a few pictures. Was hoping to be able to pick up before the weekend but looks like that won't happen since I'll have to wait for a check through the mail. Going to do paperwork on Friday. So close, but not done yet.
Glad to see other builds moving forward too.

Congrats man. Looks great. My truck was shipped and made it to the rail yard an hour away from the dealership. Not sure how long it will take for them to unload it and put it on a truck and take it to the dealership. Did you track your truck? How long did it take once it started the shipping process?

It only took a week for shipping, which seems crazy because I know others had to wait way longer. Must have got lucky with the train schedules. I didn't track it while it was in transit though besides just this screen, I didn't realize you could. The wait is even harder than before since I know it's so close now lol.

Last year, I had a special order built in Europe. Same kind of notifications by email, but with a couple numbers they supplied, the forum board I was part of figured out to guess what cargo ship the vehicle was on with 99% certainty, and you could watch it track across the Atlantic, through the canal, and up the Pacific coast... all the while watching the ship move around tropical depressions and hurricanes in real time. It was pretty cool.

My truck is still in production. 2nd week. likely the spray-in bed liner. I still have a fight with the dealer when it gets here because they didn't re-select the power steps when they submitted the order, and they have to make that right or me and my six figure check are going elsewhere. They said they would, but as a rule I hope for the best, plan for the worst, and keep expectations low. We'll see.

I would love to track the train as it gets here. I get texts from VinView every once in a while but it would be nice to be able to watch it. Hopefully it will be here next week and I won't have to complain any longer. First world problems and all....
