2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Interesting, my dealer said they could put power boards on after for a charge. However they are included in the Lariat Ultimate Pkg. For some reason if you add a Sport or Black pkg they change the boards out to static ones.
same thing (switch to fixed) with the platinum package when you add the Tremor option, but then as you continue configuring, you can go back and switch back to the power ones. I did that sitting at the salesmans' desk, and that Monday, asked for the hard copy of how it actually got ordered. All the mistakes were on their end after that, with not fixing it when I called 'em on it . That's why they're doing it NC.

It did have a estimated date of 9/29/24-10/5/24 Before my status went back to “order confirmed” I’m sure it will update tonight saying shipped with the possibility of a new estimated delivery date. We shall see.

My truck just updated to order confirmed like yours did. The estimated dates have disappeared.

New delivery dates sooner than originally posted. New estimates 9/27/24 - 10/03/24. So soon yet so far!!

Truck got delivered to the dealership today. They need to install the winch and do their inspection but hopefully I’ll get a chance to go pick it up in the next few days. Carli Backcountry kit w/ soft ride leafs, long travel air bags, and the BMC dual fog kit get delivered tomorrow :)

Even more interesting, my dealer is backing out of OEM running board change out they originally agreed to, saying it can't be done because of lack of proper wiring harness. I don't believe it for a second. A platinum trim wiring harness is a platinum trim wiring harness. I told 'em I reject the truck unless it's the truck I ordered. MSRP is 109K. To their credit, they reordered the truck properly the day they informed me of all this (2 days ago), and this morning I got a new VIN and a scheduled build of OCT 28 and it's still a 24MY, which is my preference based on what I'm hearing about the 25's.

My next move was going to be revisiting the Ram w a HO Cummins with the new ZF 8-speed that's due out this month. I might even look at it anyways depending on the numbers it puts out, but I still prefer the Tremor F350. If they do this right and I see my original build finished w/ a proper window sticker, I'm sticking with the F350

There's gonna be a bitchin' 2024 F350 Platinum Glacier Grey Tremor on the web site of Cerritos Ford in CA web site if you don't mind fixed running boards, or even the AMP research steps added. It shows in transit, but it's sitting at the dealer with the winch already installed, ready to go.

I was notified by my dealer that certain SuperDuty trucks are eligible for $10k off MSRP. I found a truck that “is eligible” and go to look at it Saturday. Dealer says Ford won’t pick up my order to build so maybe they are trying to help me, but I can’t see this sale incentive on the web anywhere.

I wish you luck with it. I’ve seen a few selected trucks on lots for 5K under window. I’m buying mine X-plan for 7K off, and the cynical part of me wonders if that doesn’t factor into what they will or won’t do with their screwup, but I told ‘em I want the truck I ordered. Still though, I got the email from Ford with the scheduled build date & VIN, so I’m optimistic, but far from expectant. Maybe the dealer pleaded their case that this late order was to fix their screw-up. Don’t know.

The biggest deal breaker for me with any truck on the lot is the moonroof. I had my woman in a Range Rover that leaked all over the inside down the A pillar from a plugged moonroof drain and fortunately caught it with the last three months of the original warranty… otherwise it was a five figure repair not covered under the extended warranty, and with the work I do, I know the electrical system was forever compromised after that. No holes in the roof for me ever again, and I never saw a single 350 on the lot that didn’t have a moonroof, and/or cab lights across the top.

While it doesn’t rain much here in AZ that would be concerning still. The one on their lot certainly does have the twin panel moon roof. I’ve never had a moonroof on my trucks so it wasn’t an option I wanted either. Hopefully it works out for me. On the other had I found another truck in Utah and the dealer was way off at first but now he has agreed to split shipping with me.
Not sure what is causing these dealers to all of a sudden want to move trucks.

model year probably, which is a big deal if you change trucks every year three. I keep good vehicles a long time
