2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

reordered the truck because I refused the original when it came in because it wasn't as ordered and the dealer said they couldn't make it right. Nothing changed from the original order, so the dealer got the point. Might see it before Thanksgiving

These dealers are going to be holding bags of trucks soon. I moved on to another dealer and I won’t give the other one time of day.
 
I was looking through the local inventory on Tremors and came across this custom order. I think this person was trying to build the most expensive Lariat possible.

I saw that one as well. No wonder mine can’t get built. This one has all the parts.
 
I hear you on the delayed production. My order has been stuck in the "in production" phase for a while. I've been looking for a similar one in local inventory for a few weeks and actually found one this past weekend. I got lucky because it was a special order truck and the guy backed out. It popped up on the inventory search while it was still in transit, so the dealership didn't even have it on the lot or listed on their website yet. I bought it on Saturday, and I will be picking it up on Wednesday once the winch is installed. It is a trim level higher than I ordered (ordered Lariat, bought a Platinum) and It has a couple of options that I didn't want, but more importantly, it had everything I did want and in the correct colors inside and out. No more waiting and I am obviously excited. Good luck with your Utah negotiations.

Hey they clearly weren’t trying hard enough, as they deleated the carpets.
 
There must be a delay in their computer system. I was checking my truck’s status all Monday evening, night, and into Tuesday morning. Then later Tuesday morning they updated my truck to “Built” but listed it as built the day before. Anywhooo— WooHoo!😁

Also, the same thing of “order confirmed” pops up for mine too now. Must be entering shipping.

Well that was unexpected. Got an email from the finance department telling me that the truck is on the lot!!! Every time i checked it kept adding days to the delivery. 10 day shipping to Granger. Not bad.
 
My truck seems to be stuck “in production” for a week now in Kentucky. Probably been asked and answered but I can’t find it. Does anyone know specifically where I can find my window sticker when it’s available? Will it just appear in one of the tracking windows? I still haven’t seen it and want to verify the build is as ordered.

It's not actually in production until a date appears under "In Production". You should see the date appear by Sunday 9/29, which is the end of the production week.
 
That makes sense! I see others with 2 day build but mine switched last week. I was getting antsy. Thanks for the info and thanks to P-T for the window sticker link. It was there and looks as ordered. Appreciate you all!
 
My sales guy placed my order (6.7, platinum) on Tuesday evening -- he told me he couldn't guarantee I'd actually get a '24. I got an email from Ford, yesterday, saying it was accepted. I got an email from my salesman, this morning, saying Ford scheduled it for the week of 10/28.

Mine sat in production for a week. Then the build date popped up.
 
Mine went into production yesterday but with no date also. Talked to my dealer today and said I have a build date of 10/3. He doesn’t think we will see it until November but it sure seems like the convoy deliveries that I’ve seen are a lot sooner than that. We have a camping trip the 3rd week of October so I just hope I can get it before then.

Finally got her! Very comfortable driving. I love it! Puts my 2019 GMC Denali to shame in terms of technology and drive quality.

My only gripe is the dang fuel door doesn’t want to stay closed. There’s absolutely zero tension on the door and it just flops around. Surprised it was missed during their inspection. Any tips on a quick fix? Or take it back to dealer?
