2024 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build Thread

Cancelling my 24’ order today. Some circumstances changed and I needed a truck sooner than later!

Picked up a 22’ Tremor 7.3 Platinum with 1300 miles on it yesterday. Drove it 700 miles back home. Love it already! Has a 7yr/100K bumper to bumper warranty so this thing will be around for a while.

Bullcrap. Xplan rules state that dealer is required to show you the xplan pricing. Go find another dealer.

I did end up getting a form that looks like the DORA build document, and they wrote on it X Plan and signed / dated it. This form does only show MSRP.

The email they sent asked to sign and return the form, and that it represented that they would give me X Plan pricing upon sale of truck.

I’m not really concerned they won’t honor it given I have something signed and in writing, but the price protection thing still isn’t sitting well with me. They claim they can’t do price protection, but if I have a signed DORA showing current MSRP and they added some signed notation of X Plan on the DORA, isn’t price protection out of their control since Ford would be cutting the check for the difference?

Anyways, if someone has another dealership in North Texas that honored X Plan and price protection please let me know. I’m pretty sure I could cancel this order and place a new one?

Called another local dealer, confirmed they would honor X-Plan, talked about price protection.

They said that would be dependent on Ford, not them. Basically until a VIN is generated, they cannot provide a MSRP or X Plan price since MSRP could change before the VIN on the order is created.

After the VIN is created, a MSRP / Window Sticker is applied to that vehicle. From there, if the MSRP goes up before that vehicle is finished, then it would still arrive with that original MSRP and X Plan applied to that, not the increased MSRP.

End of day, was told there wasn’t any specific form to complete to ensure price protection

Price protection is still offered by Ford with these plans and it's all stated in the fine print rules. Even if prices change between this past Sep and whenever my truck is built, they still honor the original pricing from day of order submission.
If you have a pin for X-plan than I'd imagine you should be familiar with the website where the rules are listed (https://www.myplan.ford.com) when you login and can search plan pricing on all vehicles and even look up various inventories with plan pricing offered. I couldn't get the doc attached but below is a screenshot where the rules are posted....good luck on the order!

Yeah I’ve a PIN. I noticed my current order show type as retail, and more Google searching indicates Type on DORA should show X.

You will not be held to any orders you place unless you give them a deposit. So no harm in walking away from a shady dealership.
