2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

Now my date is gone and it’s slipped back to Order Confirmed. VIN remains. Still no window sticker. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I was not supposed to receive my 23 until today at the earliest when suddenly, on the 12th I was informed by my salesman that my truck would be delivered that day, and available for take home the next day.

So keep the hope those of you still waiting.

Ordered 10/30/2022, beyond first 45 day notice crickets. Absent a VIN and given information on the order summary is there any option via Ford Chat to obtain an update status?

What did you order? If it was King Ranch or Platinum, those haven't even started production yet. If it was Lariat or below, maybe one of your requested upgrades is on the limited availability list? Either way, I would start harassing the salesman by now.

Ford chat will give you a very general update. You can call Ford Marketing and they might be able to tell you a little more. Your dealer's sales manager will have the best information. Things to ask your dealer's sales manager about:
- Number of other super duty orders they have
- Monthly allocation
- Your priority code relative to their other orders
- Number or orders received before you (this and priority code will give you a sense of where you are in line for the dealer's allocation)
--Any commodity constraints affecting your order (note: a status of "unscheduled - clean" only indicates your order was submitted correctly - has no errors or conflicting options)

Your sales rep can find all the above out for you, but it then becomes a game of telephone and many do not fully understand the retail order process so it is easier to just talk to someone in management.

Alright, so this is my first post, but I thought my order may be relevant to this forum. I am a Ford tech and ordered from my own dealer if that changes anything. We currently have two 6.7s CCLB XLs on our lot, not sure if sold or our stock.
My order:
2023 F250 CCLB Plat 4x4
- 6.7 HO
- High cap axle
- 3.55 Elocker
- 5th wheel prep
- Snow prep
- Tow tech
- 360 camera (not sure if the last two are even options or standard)

Ordered 10/31/2022
Changed packages after I got more info on scales and whatnot, but they seemed to be unavail at this time.
Got my vin on 4/20/2023
Salesman said my build date was 5/15/2023, but no email from ford and the tracker does not reflect that.

I’m so sick of being blown off by ford I just talked to a GMC salesperson..gonna order a 2024 GMC 2500 AT4
Have a similar feeling. The lack of communication or meaningful updates + dealer bs is untenable. The semiconductor shortage has been "over" for some time and is just an excuse, most of the semiconductor companies are reporting poor earnings and their factories are not filled. At this point it seems like Ford just can't execute on manufacturing, planning and communication.

It's official. My truck is in production and can now view the window sticker. This is all happening way faster than I expected.

New Ford Truck Inventory Is Finally Improving as Supply Chain Shortages Ease

I wish I could believe this is true, but the article focuses on F-150/1500 trucks. For Super Duties, "Meanwhile, a Ford spokesperson said that 40 percent of the company’s current inventory consists of previously-ordered Super Duty pickups that are in-transit to dealers." Makes me wonder how many trucks are still stored around Louisville. It does look like XL/XLT/Lariats are making to dealer lots, but the number of delivered KR and Platinum are still really, really low and those with Limited trims are probably near zero.

Hearing from the dealer that Max recline will be the next potential scheduling delay.

2024 GMC 2500 AT4 is sweet, definitely a better lookin than the 2023 Super Duty.

That was my plan too. If I didn't have a build date by June I was going to order either a chevy or a GMC. For some reason GM seems to be able to process orders a lot faster and it's a 2024 not a 2023... I came close to canceling my order a few times, but I'm happy I didn't. I like the superduty more since I wanted a gasser. I probably would have gone with a diesel had I ordered one of the GM trucks. The AT4 is a nice truck.

I was in the same boat. Unfortunately, my local GMC dealer said they were unable to take any 2024 2500 AT4 orders until the 24 lot allocation arrived. I ordered a Ford in late March and got lucky as my truck is built and awaiting shipping. Last week, the GMC dealer called and said they have a white 2500 AT4 and a black 2500 AT4 in stock. When I mentioned that I wanted a particular color(gray) and option package, he said he was reserving his custom orders for his previous and high priority customers. That actually felt worse than Ford saying it might be 90 days or it might be a year. At least I wasn’t told that I wasn’t special enough to order a truck. Haha!

I have carriers that park at a gas station near my house. the carriers have all kinda cars on them, super duties, GM trucks, toyota trucks. today there was a carrier full of 24 GM trucks and one full of 23 SD trucks. if I was in the market, and basing my purchase solely on looks, GM would get my money. the GM looks much better. if both carriers are there tomorrow ill snap a picture.

Side note, im not bashing the 23 im glad you guys are happy with your trucks thats what matters more than some dudes opinion on the internet. I will say the 23 looks better in person that any of the ford pictures, and after seeing @Dons_66 in person I like the truck, but I wont be in the market for one.

At this point I'm wondering what I'll receive first Tremor 11/4 or suppressor 2/1.
