2023 MY Super Duty Order/Schedule/Build dates from Ford...

Ordered 10/28 job 2 build to add BAP
Scheduled build 4/28
Window sticker became viewable today and confirmed that BAP is definitely not there. So mine was job 2 but now technically has no option that required job 2 thus maybe got me to the front of the job 2 line. Of course now here comes a 90k truck that is not the way I want it. Should I drive it and sell it next year when I get a 2024 that is like I want. Or do I just pass on it and wait…just sucks to order at the front of the line and get screwed by ford/dealer because they didn’t build it like I ordered. If I pass then someone can potentially get an opportunity to snag one sometime in May when this one arrives at the dealer.
Honestly, the BAP isn't worth the extra cost this year. You can definitely black out your truck for less than the 4k cost of the package. If it were me, I'd take the truck and black it out and check out the 24s when those are released and make my decision then if I want to order one.

Couldn't agree more.

How much are black badges and grill? Not $4K.

I'm switching out to heavy steel bumpers anyway, colour match doesn't matter.

Did Everyone received an e-mail notification when your dealer placed the order/reservation?
My dealer said they already placed the order but I didn't receive any e-mail.
So now I am wondering if they actually placed the order.
Is there any way to check it online?

Not everyone received the confirmation email from Ford. Your dealer should be able to provide a build sheet which will have a Sales Code and Order Code that you can use to check on your order status with Ford (using the chat function on the website).

There's been some discussion on LED Taillights and which trims get them and which do not. Someone on FB had received the below from their dealer. It is really difficult to read, but in summary:

XL/XLT receive the Halogen Tails by default
Lariat and King Ranch receive the mid-level tails with the LED reverse light by default and XL/XLT with certain options
Only Platinum and Limited receive the high-level tails with all LED

Probably a $30 saving on a $90k truck. Make sense….

Happened to me as well today.
I went from 5/1 to 7/24 today as well. Seems strange that everyone got pushed out today. And the vins are issued way earlier than typical it seems.
I've seen on Facebook that Ford is on the brink of losing government/large contracts for vehicles... So they're pushing back the retail orders and bulk producing these large contracts first. Take that for what it's worth. 🤷

Mine showed as "built" earlier today, now it says "order confirmed" again and the check marks have all rolled back to just the green dot next to order confirmed. But the dates are all still there next to "built" etc.

If true..that decision may spectacularly backfire on Ford give the 2024 order banks are forecast to open in July. Folks with retail orders who have been pushed right waiting on their 23s are likely in many instances to say screw it and cancel 23 for 24s rather then take the cross year depreciation hit.

That or with GM having really upped their game on the 24s, they may give up waiting on Ford. Looks aside, the Chevy HD ZR2 Bison has really closed the gap with the Tremor

All is well again... Updated to "Shipped"

I can't believe how fast I went from scheduled to built to shipped... it wasn't even 2 weeks ago that I got scheduled...

I agree. I already told my dealership I will not take the 23 if the 24 order bank is open. Trucks that late in the year are usually the ones that end up on the lot sitting. Not custom preordered trucks overlapping with a new model year release. Back to the wait and see game for what the real date is. It just seems really strange to have vin numbers 3-1/2 months before production.

I finally received an email from Ford. Looks like my build is scheduled for May 1st. Ordered March 1st so I'm very surprised it's scheduled.

7.3L, Lariat Ultimate package, Moonroof, wheel well liners and spray in bedliner. I think I may see it by August.
