Pending any potential strike impacts, or other variables, you should know on 9/7 if your MY24 is scheduled to be built anytime between 10/30 and 11/27.What exactly does that mean?

Yap, I used to make that drive past there everyday, twice a day going back and forth to NAS.Frontier Ford in Anacortes
I went through Awesome Ford in Chehalis because at the time I placed my order, they were one of the only dealerships around that would honor X-plan. I talked to around 7-8 different dealers way back in November of 2022. On a side note, it would appear we have another squid in our midst? J/K.I also went through them. Jared was great to work with.

https://fordauthority.com/2023/08/2023-ford-super-duty-recalled-over-rear-axle-shaft-issue/ I guess there is a new recall for 23 F250/350 SWR. Article as per Ford athority
Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023 Ford Super Duty pickups due to an issue with the left rear axle shaft.
The defect: in affected vehicles equipped with single rear wheels and a 10.5-inch rear axle shaft, the left rear axle shaft may have been improperly heat-treated during manufacturing and may break.
The hazards: a broken rear axle shaft can result in a loss of drive power or vehicle rollaway when the vehicle is placed in park. Either of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this issue.
Components: left rear axle shaft
Affected vehicles: select 2023 Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350 pickups equipped with single rear wheels and a 10.5-inch rear axle shaft produced between March 20th, 2023, and August 21st, 2023.
Number of vehicles affected: 41,555
The fix: dealers will inspect the left rear axle shaft date code and replace the axle shaft as necessary, free of charge.
I wonder if my tremor will be affected by this. my production date was 8/10/23
Ford will send you an email at each stage of the process. Once you have a scheduled production date/week you'll receive a vin# then you can track your order with your 4 digit order number and vin just follow the link in your email ford sends you.I have never ordered a vehicle before. Is there a way to check and see how far along they are in the building process?
Thanks in advance.
From what information are you assuming Spring 24. I ask as I believe we both have Platinum Tremors ordered from Granger and both have 23 roll overs. Only thing I heard is could be from November to October 24 with no idea one closer to the other.Good ol' Ford, got the order confirmation with supply chain issues email this morning. I'm not to worried about it since the order is for a '24 F350 Platinum Tremor. Which will not even scheduled until sometime around spring 24.
In addition to the guidance @Anthonyb provided, your dealer is going to be the best source of information regarding your specific order up until the point where it is scheduled for production. Your dealer will be able to give you insight on any commodity constraints (i.e., items in your order that may be preventing it from being scheduled for production) as well as insight on where you are in line are relative to other orders they have received versus their available allocation.I have never ordered a vehicle before. I already received my 23my Lariat Ultimate Tremor 7.3L the 24 platinum tremor 7.3 was ordered when I thought my 23 wasn't going to be built which was July 18th. The 23 previewed and scheduled 5 minutes after I submitted my 24MY order. I've heard Production is to start in October but who knows. I said spring 24 sarcastically. From what information are you assuming Spring 24. I ask as I believe we both have Platinum Tremors ordered from Granger and both have 23 roll overs. Have to take into account that there may be a strike on the 15th of September. If so that might push scheduling back a bitAccording to Long McArthur, 24MY should start scheduling the first full week in September for end of October and November. No mention if they're doing Job 1/2 again this year.
Correct. So take the dates with a grain of salt.Have to take into account that there may be a strike on the 15th of September. If so that might push scheduling back a bit
