My truck has arrived at the dealership today is in final prep,
Update. Went to the dealership for a quick look and some pics before she goes into the shop for PDI. I will be adding line x premium bed liner, hard folding tonneau cover and splash guards in a few days.
I recognize that dealership!

I’ve finally got shipment… now for the rail car stalking. If anyone can speak to delivery timelines to Houston, I’m all ears?

I’ve basically got the week of 18-22 Sept I can take leave to go get the truck and do the road trip back to DC. Sure seems like 4 weeks would be ample time, or am I naive?

I’d say you have a slim chance. But that’s still a chance!

Mine went through the Houston train yard and then to Huntsville. Took right at 4 weeks from shipped to final prep aka delivered, but we had 4th of July weekend in there. It was delivered on the 5th. So you might luck out and get it in 3 weeks, but who knows with Labor day weekend in there.

Your 7.3 was not much cheaper than my 6.7 SO. Still though, you got a beautiful rig.
Thanks. I drive truck for a living so I get the benefits of a diesel however I don't tow enough to justify the additional maintenance costs and all the ISSUE'S THAT COME WITH AFTER TREATMENT. So for my needs a gasser was the way to go.

Thanks! 11400 GVWR that’s why I was confused on the payload and it being a 7.3.
If I would have gone 6.7 I would have got 12k gvwr instead of 11499 but lost payload capacity due to the extra weight. But gained around 3k GCVWR.

Great data, thank you. I think I’ll avoid any Labor Day impacts since rail operations are a 24/7 critical infrastructure operation, they don’t do holidays. You definitely lucked out with yours arriving at the dealership right on the 4th of July.

That’s if the strike doesn’t blow that timeline all to hell! Ugh
