I have ordered before and no troubles getting the vehicle like now. I'm not looking for sympathy but solid honest answers. Nobody at Ford seems to want to tell anyone the truth about these vehicles. If you can't produce them, then be honest with us and say so. Hell, maybe don't offer it if you know you can't/won't produce it.![]()
hell of a first post LOL..
Have you ever ordered a truck before or just bought off the lot?
Sorry for a lack of sympathy... I ordered a 2022 in November of 2021 and never got it. Finally getting it as a 2023 here in another week or so...supposedly. I wont believe it until I am driving it. So... 20 months give or take hahaha.

12-08-2022 Order Code T128..When did you order and what order and priority code were applied? My order received 11/1 with order of C880 and priority of 19.
You hit the nail on the head. Ford should have only accepted orders they knew they could build. By them accepting all of these orders they've misled thousands of potential customers into believing they could purchase something that they weren't capable of building. I'm surprised no one has tried suing them yet.I have ordered before and no troubles getting the vehicle like now. I'm not looking for sympathy but solid honest answers. It is primarily on Ford Corporate. The dealers receive allocations, if they advertise they can sell more then their allocations then it is their bad.IMO its NOT Ford Corporate that is "selling bullshit".
They have(Ford Corporate), since the 23 order banks opened(and I think 2022 as well), said "we can only build 5% of this" or "10% of this"... I think Tremor was slated at either 5% or 10% of total builds. BUT dealers, being dealers take orders for 150% of this and 200% of that and then when the persons truck doesnt get built or takes forever they simply go "fuckin ford cant build shit, try again next year, not OUR fault". OR the dealers dont know how to pimp the allocation/covp system. The guy "icecapades" I think is his name over on BOF said most Ford dealers are fucking clueless on the custom order procedure and how to manage their internal order bank and either leave everything at 19(which tells Ford "meh, produce it if you can, but its not a huge priority"), order retail orders as dealer stock priority numbers(which arent really being produced I dont believe), put the order in as a 99(which will never get picked up), never move orders from 19 to 10(basically tying to prioritize their internal order book), never contact their zone reps to figure out whats going on with such and such order thats been passed over for 9 months, etc... They have no clue about commodity constraints, etc... They basically plug shit it and sit back and then are surprised when vehicles show up(I read that a lot on the various facebook forums "my truck mysteriously showed up at my dealer today so I guess ill go get it")...
There are a few dealers out there that are way up to speed on the process and they dont seem to have as many issues and pissed off customers and those dealers will tell you that EVERYBODY has access to the same information and COULD do a stellar job, they just choose to be lazy and apathetic and choose to not do a great job...and Ford corporate gets the blame...
I'm not giving Ford corporate a total pass here, but they have been at least semi transparent in the process that they only expect to build x% of certain combo's or X% of certain parts are on constraint, etc...
It is primarily on Ford Corporate. The dealers receive allocations, if they advertise they can sell more then their allocations then it is their bad.
But that is not predominately the challenge here - the dealers do not have a vote on scheduling (beyond internal prioritization) or how allocations are apportioned against build slots; or how supply chain expectations are managed - that is all on Corporate.
