Stopped by my dealer today to talk to the GM... they're not happy with how Ford has been handling production this year. They're a top 100 dealer and don't know why my order hasn't been picked up by the factory as they don't give priority 10 out to many, have the allocation, and there's presently nothing constraining my order. They're hopeful that Ford will produce more high-end trims for the remaining 3.5 months, but acknowledged that it will be particularly tough for anyone wanting a Limited.
Even though I have ordered the max recline seats, they had to add the multi-contour seat removal to my order, so I get a $300 discount while not giving anything up. Can't complain about that.
@marine_wi wonder if Granger will need to make this change to your order as well.
I've already discussed with the dealer that if they find anything else in my order will be removed by Ford to move it to priority code 99 and we'll try again with a MY24. They said they'll get me the MY24 order guide when they receive it, so I can share it with the community if it doesn't get posted elsewhere first. My dealer expects that job 2 for MY24 will come quickly as they are not expecting any significant changes for the next model year, which should allow the factory to hit the ground running. Hopefully that means we might see job 2 for MY24 before the end of the calendar year.
What chatting with my sales guy afterwards and he commented that they (again a top 100 dealer) are only getting 1 unit allocated to them for a Ranger Raptor. I'd expect Ford could sell tens of thousands of these, but looks like they're going to make them a pretty limited option in 24.
