Soooo? What is it? A more defined and more crispy graphics on your screen interface? Is that it? 🤔 I don't see what the whole hype is about, if that's all you're getting, but then again I guess I'm not too much into that tech stuff... I don't see anything wrong with the screen on my radio! 🤷

Two things did it for me. The first was full screen CarPlay which I use every time I drive. Why not have it take over the entire screen if I use almost nothing else on that screen. The second is the ability to add the climate controls to the screen. Only wanted that to have the ability to easily turn on/off the heated steering wheel.

I see if you use those features is definitely worth it I believe.... I don't even use car play because it acts funny it skips songs or like the signal gets cut out or something

CarPlay in the Tremor has an issue of interference from what I believe to be microwave antennas. On my daily commute there are two specific areas that CarPlay either gets disconnected completely or interrupted enough to stop playback. I am not certain but fairly sure this has to do with the WiFi used to stream and ensure a connection as the issue doesn’t present itself when connecting via Bluetooth only (no skipping or getting disco’d). Also FWIW, the CarPlay in my BMW doesn’t do this passing through the same areas, the truck does each and every time as well as in other areas with known microwave shots, find them more and more in rural areas where terrestrial internet isn’t available.

Worth noting that disabling wireless CarPlay and plugging in via USB should solve this. Though understandable if you only want to use it wirelessly.

Agreed and concur. Just makes me ponder how/why at least one other manufacturer can avoid the interference but not this system that is five years younger/newer.

I’ll be moving in the next few months so not worried about it in the next location (that’s a fingers crossed not worried).

For sure. Especially since it's (presumably) communicating over the exact same frequency. Only thing I can think of is perhaps it supported 2.4Ghz WiFi at one time, but prefers 5Ghz now? And that 5Ghz connection is more susceptible to this interference?

FWIW I never experienced that issue in the Seattle area when I was using wireless CarPlay - over a period of months. Went to pure wired for other reasons, but never encountered interference like that.

I travel regular routes a few times a week. There are several spots where the wireless AA receives interference every time. It's annoying, but, rarely happens on highways or interstates.

Just bought a VXDIAG Nano on ebay for $80. I love messing with this kind of stuff.

My truck has the deep sleep bug that I haven't taken into the dealership yet to have the update / fix installed. If I use FDRS to update my modules, do you think it'll also apply the update to fix the deep sleep issue?

Pretty sure PTT arod just did a video doing exactly that.

Interesting. I have a '22 Platinum 6.7 Tremor and I haven't received the update.
I wonder how they determine which '22s get updated and in what order.
I think they give them out to those who gave their left nut for their truck as first priority.

My truck got the first half of the update today. 22’ 7.3 tremor
